I do intentionally stop down the exposure on most of my vids (for exactly the sleep reason you mention), but I was second-guessing whether I had dimmed this video a little too much, overcompensating for the light-colored background (I don't use light backgrounds very much any more). Thanks for setting my mind at ease! Iron Bridges should be up next on the list. :-)
Hey Teddy Bear, thanks for asking, and great memory for recalling that idea! Basically, I came to the realization that I can't make that video look the way I want it to look without help in filming it. One or the other of my kids would be the most likely assistant on that, but it adds another layer of scheduling and organization to work with them to make it happen. Then Real Life got in the way in 2019, and caused a big break in my content, followed by the pandemic-driven break in 2020. For better or worse, when time allows me to work on content, I've been choosing video topics that are "easier" to make. I'd still very much like to finish it someday, and it means a lot that you've asked about it. Thank you!

Do you record ambient audio and your voice at the same time? Or do you lay over audio after the fact.
