Order placed - glad to support an entrepreneur. The biggest gap in the market is for pre-grouping goods brake vans - more complicated, I know, but I'd certainly be willing to pay a premium price because, well, you only need one for each train! Just pick ones that already have RTR locos, such as North British Railway, Caledonian Railway, North Eastern, LNWR, etc.
Thank you so much Andrew, bless you for that! Yes a brake van would be fascinating - I'll definitely look into that... it'd certainly be more costly to make, but I don't think impossible! Thanks for watching, Sam :)
Sam, the advent shorts are being uploaded at 3 a.m. my time... I'll be watching them in the morning I guess. Looks like you and Chloe had a fun time filming the first one. Does that mean Chloe will be visiting the loft every single day or do you film them in advance and open several days in a row? Where did you buy the Brio advent calendar? I would choose the cute little Christmas briefcase over chocolates any time. Not really a big fan of eating snacks to be honest. :)
Ahh sorry for the odd time for you then - feel free to save them up for the next day haha! I got the Brio calendar from Rails :D Thanks for watching, Sam :)
It would be really awesome if you would sell some of these wagons unpainted and unassembled in slightly larger quantities! I’d really enjoy building and painting some of those
Thank you!! It's a process I'm trying to refine - it's all stencilled, but the stencils are crazy complex... the most difficult part of the design process in fact! Thanks for watching, Sam :)
I’d love to see your templates, I enjoy doing wagon and coach kits but really struggle with the decals, on a side note, I’d love to see you have a go at the GCR bogie fish vans, only option is a brass kit which is beyond my basic model making skills, gives you a chance to try some Bogies before tackling a coach…
Great wagons Sam, ordered some, thanks. Would love to see a pre-grouping brake van with physical weathering. If a manufacturer doesn't start doing physical weathering soon you'll need a bigger attic.
Very impressed with your CAD skills, especially the weathering. I think you need to include a Sam's Trains logo in the "mouldings" and get some form of design registration or production licence on the screw box. Those box vans in TT120 would really go well. Any chance of couplings 3D printed in clear resin?
Just brought some, out of interest what printer are you using and could you do a video of you going through the desing and printing process. I've done a touch of resin printing, but you are getting very reliable results it appears and I could do with that. Cheers, Jim
ive got an idear for 3D printing broad gauge but to custem broad gauge track to scale with 00 so you chould have narow gauge standard gauge and brord guge all next to eachother at about the right size
Sam, the big companies should take note, these are incredible models, especially the physical weathering! You're leading the industry now, iust incredible👍 Zach
I said it last year and I’m going to say it again you should review the Lionel O gauge lion chief +2.0 Polar Express model this year it is a nice model for what it is. I think you would appreciate it.
Im gonna buy a 3d printer for myself for christmas so i can make my own wagons too. You inspired me. Im also gonna work on making plastic wheels that arent a pain with em
A committed 'amateur' tends to output better quality than profit-motivated 'professionals' . Resin means choklit.. right? Physical distress is perfect!
I haven't had chance yet sorry for that - but I really appreciate it! Please do check with me first in future though, as I'm seriously running out of model space haha! Thanks for watching, Sam :)
@SamsTrains Sure thing, but like I said, what I sent you (which will count as my Christmas present to you) will work for your American locomotives that pull passenger trains like your Hudsons and GG1, I hope you'll like it
Hi Sam, just bought the van, as the previous 2 plank wagon I have was so brilliant! Keep up the excellent job mate! Can't wait to see.and run it. Hope you and Chloe have a good week! 👍👍👍
Amazing work as always! Im glad to hear that the resin held up to that wheel of torture! Ive been wanting to make custom models for a long time and seeing your videos was the kick I needed. What kind of resin are you using? I've been using ABS-like resin, but I haven't experemented with other kinds.
Thanks so much - yeah I was very pleased by how hard the resin turned out to be! I use plant based resin because it's less fumey! Thanks for watching, Sam :)
I just came back to your channel after a bit and I'm so happy you got a resin printer! I remember some of your first models and these are so fantastic!
Well Sam, I had to read the comments below to find out I'll have to wait till 4:30 on the 2nd so I'll do that then, lol. I love the weathered 4 plank cars and maybe mystery box so wish me luck. Jersey Bill
Honestly wish i could afford any of these. I just connot afford them right now. Definitely would if i could. Any other way i can support the channel. Im a huge fan. From William
That's totally understandable - I'm sorry about the prices - it's just a slow process painting and building them all by hand! Really appreciate it mate, Thanks for watching, Sam :)
I hope there will be some wagons left when I get paid again. I'd absolutely love to buy some right now, and support the channel, but money's tight right now. 💔
One has already sold out - the rest are still available for now! Thanks so much for your kind words - I really do appreciate that, and I'm sorry if they all go... I wish I could make enough to satisfy demand but it's such a slow process :( Thanks for watching, Sam :)
Please identify scale. I have investigated purchasing several of your prior offerings (single-axle models) but was never able to confirm scale so never purchased. I recognize most of your reviews are HO-scale, and compared to your finger (when holding) it seems to be that size, but I remain uncomfortable purchasing without knowing.
Decent range Sam, won’t be buying them myself though as I need to focus my key elsewhere, I have my LNER Coronation beavertail observation car on the way.
Hey Sam’s Trains, great resin models, now unfortunately again I can’t get the models that you made on Etsy, but nonetheless they are great, I hope you have a very nice Christmas Now, I can hear bullman and the Christmas tank engine asking you if they are doing a Christmas video, I’m not sure if Father Christmas agrees, but you should check with bellman and the Christmas tank engine just to make sure Cheers - David

Amazing Job Sam. These look amazing. Very great work.
Thanks so much Stan! :D
Really neat! Would you ever consider trying to make wagons in n gauge?
Thank you so much! Yes I would - I'm thinking about it!
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
Be interested to see how you've done the lettering. It looks very clean and crisp.

Great vdeo. The sorting box is a very clever design.
Thank you so much!
That screw box is genius, im sure people who repair things would be interested.

Can you upload another review of the bluebell p class from accurascale on Wednesday?
I'd love to Kenji - yes hopefully soon!
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
@@SamsTrains Or Can you Do the Review of the Hattons Bluebell P Class?
Go into business, Sam. You’ve got the talent and the sense for it.
Either that or make a resin-printed Bullman!
Just brought some, out of interest what printer are you using and could you do a video of you going through the desing and printing process. I've done a touch of resin printing, but you are getting very reliable results it appears and I could do with that.

Thank you so much Jim - these are done on Saturn 3 machines - and sure, I can look at doing a video on that some time!
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
Hi Sam, have you considered making shunters wagons from some of the northern railways, more interesting than the GWR ones. 😊
I have managed to order some this time :)
Awesome! Thanks so much for your support! :D
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
How about a reprint of your era 1 rolling stock? I missed out last time because I was on holiday.
I'm turning my head to that next - the era 1 wagons will be back next year plus new additions!
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
@SamsTrains Ace
I’ll be getting some of these 😊
Thank you so much - hope you enjoy them! :D
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
Thanks Sam for naming the wagon after me😊

hi there sam i have a question is there any place where we can print your models, greetings from Mexico
Yes! Not all my models are available, but I have some for free on Thingiverse - just look up Sam'sTrains on there!
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
I’ve just bought a Santa and Co box van! Can’t wait to couple this up with my Christmas train!
Thank you so much - really hope you enjoy it!

Yes one day I hope so!

Wahaaaaaaaay thanks Sam. Finally managed to get 2 FR wagons as a present to me off the wife 😂 cheers
hahaha I'm sure she'll be very pleased - glad you could finally get some!

So, would you call these Exchequer Vans?
haha!
that screw boy could make a pretty penny if patented. those would be in every hobby shop!
Thanks so much - I'm pretty happy with them too :D

Hi Sam, the wagons look great. As for suggestions, how about some M&GN rolling stock or even one of their yellow ochre livery tank engines?
Thanks so much - I'll definitely look into that, cheers!
Heres hoping it combines shipping for international orders
It should do if you order all together!
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
@SamsTrains good, I ordered them in the same transaction.
Could you do a short in you painting the weathering as you’ve done in your weathered wagon? Comes out really nice
That would be a cool video actually - I might spill the secret one day ;)

Feliz Navidad Sam

Sadly I dont have my own money to buy a model railways hopefully I will get stuff for Christmas and I will ask to get this
Have you considered selling the wagons and vans unpainted so we could paint them up in our own schemes?
Yes that's an interesting idea - I could look into that one day!

Question : how come no Gordon hills rolling test sam to see how far your wagons roll.
I did do I think... did I not???

Hello have the wagons a N E M pocket?
Yes they have fixed NEM style pockets which can accept NEM couplings - they come with tension locks in the accessories bag

That could be fun!! :D
