I have watched some aussie some canadian and some sa episode.. no one compares to dave lamb! I am from UK and in Poland so These help with the homesickness! My partner doesn't get British humour sometimes 😊
Absolutely loved Brian and Carl (?sp) and Louise and David! Genuine affection and respect for each other. Esther and Darryl were a bit harder to read, whether their rather pointed bickering was real or scripted by the show, but by the last night, they seemed more relaxed with each other and the other couples. Daryl and Esther seemed to have an underbelly of things that pisses them off about each other. I think Esther tries to keep the peace because ‘Daryl knows better’ in his opinion. I just got a lot of (trying to hide) resentment.

I have seen it done that way with English friends, I think the main reason is to conserve water. They were aghast at how much I left the water running, rinsing and rinsing. I was afraid that there would be soap and grease left on my plate doing it the English way.
thats how i do my dishes. i always pre rinse every dish i use as i use them. so the water is not filthy. but is soapy. i let them drip dry. so u don’t use a tea towel.

Why does the UK version of this show focus so much on personal relationships, the participants’ opinions of each other and sometimes outright arguments?? In Sweden, the focus is on the food, the entertainment (each host has to provide some) and being nice and polite to each other!
These might be the worst cooks I’ve seen on the show. Not peeling an onion? Serving with your fingers? Brian was the best cook I think, at least he was organized
Agreed Darrell and Esther could not even manage to make their own tomato sauce, or soak and then cook the chickpeas, everything from a tin. They couldn't even be bothered to buy locally sourced lamb from a butcher, ffs they are in Wales. They bought supermarket meat.
