I've basically been doing it to all my browns but you gotta watch out for how big the deskey film piece is in the top housing or else the switch doesnt actuate at all. there definitely is a slight reduction in tactility too but I actually like it and the sound gains are huge
yeah so tl;dr of what happened, the mx2a browns cracked the bottom row mods on my set of gmk burgundy. i used them with gmk hineybeige and had no issues, it was only with gmk burgundy that they literally cracked every cap i mounted them to. so running theory is that they can possibly crack older gmk sets as nobody has had issues mounting them with newer sets where gmk has updated their molds. as far as im aware too, im the only person whos really had this problem (lucky me lol). i dont think you absolutely NEED to trim mx2as but for me I just wanted that peace of mind that none of my caps would crack anymore. they seem fine with newer sets untrimmed, but i'd air on the side of caution with older gmk sets.
This is so gas. I'm thrilled you got MX2A Browns to work out for you!!!
thanks man super satisfied with them in this build they slap in this config

@@chenyz damn that hurts, burgandy so good too, thanks for the heads up
Merisi Sessantacinque's design is boring to me. But sound top notch!
totally valid criticism, not the coolest or flashiest looking board but it just sounds and feels really good
