It wouldn't be recommended to walk much deeper into this neighborhood at night, even though right nearby is the tourist hotspots. I sat for some delicious Turkish coffee and tea, eating some baklava, to wait for my barber shave. Here, I found a $1 shave without any tourist tricks. I respect this barbershop and the barbers working in it.
This shave is done by 16 yr old Ahmed, a barber for 1 year. He gave me a quick, but very skillful shave. He even cleaned up my lines, by doing a haicut shape-up like the Dominican and Puerto Rican barbers do in NYC -- which was absolutely appreciated.
He agreed to be on video, but also answered that he is not a fan of TH-cam. Maybe I misunderstood it? I like to leave the raw moments in my videos. My Turkish fans can explain it in the comment section for us.
This is the other side of Taksim Square, the wrong side, the cheap side... I am going local.

I was actually surprised when I read that he is only 16... He is like a Junior Master Chef, only in his case, he is a Junior Master Barber... Which is honestly kind of cute.
