My recently deceased husband and I were together 24/7, he worked from home, I didn’t work, we ran every errand together, we cooked together, we watched shows together. I think I’m the 7 years we were together we were apart for 15 days total…. I know that’s crazy but we both loved it. Which made it even harder to lose him because I was all of a sudden alone after 7 years…. 💔

Yes people judge if you marry young. People thought I got knocked up. BUT by marrying young, I got to grow with my husband, and see each other graduate college, and it was worth it all. 7 years later and counting 💜

I got married at 20 and wouldn't recommend it to most people. It's harder to see red flags when you don't have as much experience. If anyone seems inconsiderate, selfish, lazy, easily angered, even just now and then, don't ignore it and don't think they'll grow out of it. I had a very unhappy abusive marriage all through my 20s. I got married again at 34 and it's a very happy and healthy marriage. I think a bit of it is good luck, if your spouse grows with you, when you get married really young... but it's also about learning about red flags and qualities you need to strictly avoid, cause if your self esteem isn't that great and you don't know what a good relationship looks like, then you can be fodder to abusers
I am 22 since last october and got married at 20, so it feels nice to see other young people being married. I actually welcomed a daughter with my husband in November. It is amazing to find your soulmate this young and get to live with them every day. Also, I never ever comment, but I just read your reply to one of the comments and I absolutely love that you remembered her commenting under some of your videos. It shows how much you actually care about your subscribers, you're definitely the one channel growing on me!

I got married at 21. Big mistake for ME. Was married for 9 years and got divorced in 2021. Now in my 30’s I realized I am not the same person that I was in my 20’s especially my early 20’s. But everyone is different. Some people that get married in their early 20’s are successful and so I wish that for the both of you!

I’ve been married (to the same guy 😂) for 30 years and I’m not 50… so I know a thing or a few about getting married as a young person. Congratulations on your marriage and here’s to many more years of happiness! I agree with you Sierra Ann, a separate personality aside from being a spouse is super important in a relationship and I think that is one of the ways to insure longevity in long term relationships. naaa, my mom got married to my dad at 19 and they stayed together until my dad passed ten years ago (married 27 yrs at that time) and they were amazing parents. they showed me what real true healthy love is and im so thankful to have them as an example shaping my view point on love and relationships. it may be surprising to see younger people be married but only the people in that relationship know that relationship.

100% facts. I'm not all about extravagant weddings. I feel it's just for show and not always about the person. I know it's not directed at everyone that has luxury weddings but that's just my feelings. I just did a regular City Hall and was good. I kind of binge eat due to stress. It's a struggle.
I got married a month before my 22nd birthday (so also 21) & my husband was 22 going on 23 that year. It'll be 4 years in April & we've been through so much. I don't regret it at all and I can't wait for our story to continue to unfold.

We just celebrated 10 years last May and had our actual wedding then as we renewed our vows… and in hind sight…. I regret doing that as well. We did it right the first time when it was just the 2 of us in a park with a officiant we found online 😂. The amount of money and stress did not translate to a good time!

I got married at 22 and I'm turning 30. Im in the south too and no one said anything about us being young. Its more common in some areas than others. We also eloped and I feel the same way, we did something for us instead of everyone else. We did do pictures so I could have marriage day pictures to show my kids and I'm glad we did! I do believe in keeping intimacy by keeping some things private but its all personal. Personally I don't wanna see my husband pooping LOL!
One of my roommates in college got married when she and her husband were 20. They’ve been married over 20 years now, she ended up earning a PhD in mechanical engineering and is now a college professor at the school we both attended. Her husband dropped out when they got married, worked full-time until she finished her education, then returned and finished his degree. During all of that, they also had 3 kids, first one born just a couple years into my friend’s phd program.
Granted, they have good social support - both sets of parents live nearby, they actually started dating in high school, and most of our friends stayed in the metro area where we all went to college (I didn’t).

People give young marriages the side eye because everyone changes.They get older-and hopefully wiser, though that isn’t always a given- and priorities change. Sometimes people grow together; sometimes they grow apart. At the end of the day NO ONE is in that relationship but you and that person. A few of my family members questioned how long my marriage would last. Pretty much paid them dust. And we are coming up on our 20th wedding anniversary in June 😊.

I met my partner when I was 20. We had our daughters very quickly (17 months apart) and split up for several years because we both needed to grow on our own. I'm 37 now and we still aren't married but we are happily together (our teens joke that they will grow up, meet someone special, and get married before we do🤣). You all are adorable and seem to have healthy boundaries and know that alone time is important 💜

When my husband and I got married we decided to pretty much just get a JP and get it done! We were both stressing out and fighting so much over just stupid petty crap and realized it was all over being overwhelmed about a stupid wedding neither of us cared about! All we cared about was each other and we knew we just wanted to get married! We decided we would far rather invest in new furniture and our future together than a big wedding neither of us needed or really cared about. I never have regretted this decision and our marriage was always focused in this same manner, focused on what mattered most to us as a couple.

It's true I was never comfortable naked in light around my exes. My current BF of 1.5 years I'm shocked sometimes how I can walk around naked or in skimpy stuff and not even think to much about it. Truly a great feeling.
Also, I value my alone time. I went from single at 36 to now just turning 37 and living with my BF and his eight year old...so alone time is a must it's so ingrained in me now that it's a need. And no one gets hurt when I also for it.

I'm 45, never been married. Being ghosted numerous times I agree with Sierra and Kevin, try talking to your partner first. Though having been ghosted, sometimes, you can tell if they might have a reason for it or if they are legit ghosting. Trust your gut.
For arguments, I have an ex who was horrible at talking and sharing emotions. We would take 10 minutes apart and sometimes we would write out our perspectives of the argument. Then we would exchange them, read them then sit together and go through each one. I would highlight parts that I felt important about what I said, and so did he. As I read his, I'd use a different colour highlighter, and highlight anything I felt was important to expand on.
It really improved our communication. We also turned off our cells and TV, background music etc.. so that when we talked about things our focus was on each other and the conversation. Actively listen, don't form your response as they are talking, or you're really not hearing what they are saying. It's not easy but it can really improve communication. It got to where we could sit and discuss things without having to write out our sides first.
When you find someone who accepts you 100% as you are, that is golden, rare, and perfect. I wish you both continued health, happiness, and love.

Hey idk if this is helpful (btw love watching y'all!), but my husband and I are both like Kevin, we struggle with the words when there's an argument and we find that it's rlly helpful to take some space and write out how we're feeling and then come back together. We found that sometimes we both felt rushed during an argument/disagreement, but that it's ok to take a min to think about how we feel. I hope that's helpful! I know you didn't ask for advice but I really could have used that advice when I was first married 😊💚
