Such a shame that tunnel collapsed. I'm a member there now, so next time I can get down from Santa Maria(Original home of Railbus 9), I'm going to try to help out. I'll be happy to do it, I love digging!
It would be great to see this excursion make a return once the tracks all the way to Tecate are operational! This is such a unique excursion and attraction, being able to ride a historic train between two countries. Not many places in the US you can do that! The only other one I can think of is the White Pass and Yukon in Alaska.
