As someone who spent most of his free time 15 years ago arguing about metal on message boards online, I think this kind of parody is long overdue. It's not only clever, it's GOOD. This song is legit baller. Nanowar of Steel has the right idea.

As a Norwegian metalhead I approve of the burning of the picture of Varg. Nanowar is also a very fun live band, this song in particular had some brilliant preamble.

Varg is a member of the band called Burzum. The burnt Fantoft church can be seen on the cover of the 1993 Aske album.

For the non-italian speakers: "Fica" means "pussy" in italian, the joke is that they had to force the lyrics in order to rhyme and/or make it less vulgar.
BONUS: there is an italian B-movie titled "Viva la foca" (long live the seal), which employs the same not-so-clever-yet-somewhat-funny joke.

My introduction was "Barbie, MILF Princess of the Twilight". It was just so absolutely absurd and hilarious. I didn't even realise all the references to cheese were there to make fun of power metal.
Norwegian Reggaeton and Valhallaluja are my 2 favorite songs from Nanowar of Steel. Whenever I listen to Valhallaluja I say I went to a Metal Church Service. That song is so funny and really awesome. I am so glad that I discovered this band within the last 2 week. I also like them because I am part Italian and it feels so awesome to have a fun band from where my ancestors came from a 150 years ago.
That "Despacito" guy around 5:00 is spanish singer Charly Glamour of Gigatron, a friend of the band. Great guy!

Nanowar (now Nanowar Of Steel) is a long lasting italian very serious comic metal group, and Gigatron (whose soloist is Charly Glamour) is exactly the same in Spain. This is a collaboration between the best and the very best. I suggest you to check more videos of both Nanowar and Gigatron like "Valhalleluja (ft. Angus McFife from Gloryhammer) | Napalm Records" (N) or "HEAVY HASTA LA MUERTE - GIGATRON" (G).
I'm so se envious you can still enjoy nanowar for the first time! If only i could forget the experience and live it again :D

They're so fun that one may not notice the ingenuity of the lyrics with all the references and wordplays, and the musicianship they have is top notch. Mind-blowing is that they all have full time jobs and nanowar is like their side job!!! Gatto panceri 666 is an Astrophysics Ph. D and speaks like 6/7 languages... and I'm proud when I can launch my underwear with my foot and take it with my hand.. oh well :D

If you want a more ballad-style song "and then I noticed that she was a gargoyle" is a better love story than twilight for sure!
"La polenta taragnarok" is a very cool song too. Even though the subtitles are well done, it's in Italian and full of Italian inside jokes which may go unnoticed by the rest of the world, but it's still a nice cool song per se!

The best thing about this one is how well done it is. Being both a metalhead and dancer of various Latin styles, I see all the usual tropes being made fun of in a way that is lighthearted and truly funny in the way it's combining two completely disparate things.
Honestly, i've loved this song for a long time, i know this is a parody metal band but someone in Mexico/South-America needs to create a Metal-Reggeaton band! Every concert you'd have moments of headbanging and just dancing!

ps. I guess your next Nanowar song will be Valhallelujah, in the beginning of that song they reference Systembolaget. That is the only liquor chain in Sweden and their objective is to make it as inconvenient as possible for you to get alcohol, not that they are bad, they are extremely good, knowledgeable and helpful bur their goal is to battle alcoholism. Since the video is x-mas based Systembolaget will be closed so good luck trying to find alcohol for your holidays if you forgot to get it in advance.

The “In your head, In your Head” part of the song is originally from the song “Zombie by The Cranberries”. I really suggest you check them out but more specifically Their song Zombie. Epic early 90s Irish rock band that became a major influence in the rock scene.
