I would have given it a thumbs up if you didn't play music throughout his entire speech. I'm assuming it wasn't playing during his actual speech, so why did you add it to the video??

It is truly important to like the character you are reading for and find a way to identify with that character. Ask yourself: Would I have lunch with this person or just hang out with this person or want to get to know this person OR would I want to stay far away from this person? The answer will determine whether you will want to portray this character or not. YOU MUST FIND AT LEAST ONE ENDURING QUALITY IN THIS CHARACTER TO SUCCESSFULLY PORTRAY HIM OR HER!
In order to fully grasp a scene, you must be able to identify with that scene. You have to think about mannerisms of the character you are reading for, relationships between characters in that scene, and what you want your character to be able to accomplish. If you see from your reading that your character is not being treated fairly by the other character then you must show strength in your character. A defeatist attitude is never the outcome. Show vulnerability without losing sight of who you know your character can be. Have a spatk of optimism be seen.
The only way to be able to memorize a scene in a limited time or at all is to be able to visualize yourself in that scene. If you dread what your character is doing in the scene then you have already taken yourself out of the scene and thus will not be able to remember the lines you need to know in that short time. If you can't relate or find the situation in the scene boring or just lacking something then you will not be able to put those words to memory.

This is marvelous, and I am stunned to see that two years after this was posted it's gathered only a couple of comments.
Is it possible to watch an entire lesson or class with Alexander on line? Or is it possible to get this on DVD?
Many thanks, and thanks for uploading this.

I'm not entirely agreeing with the "technique never changes" idea.
