People need to chill about the state of beta. Damage tuning hasn't been done yet. The duels are long because most damage is low relative to health pools along with quite a few specs getting more self-sustain where the heals seem tuned for the larger health pools but much of the damage isn't. That said, if the choice is between this and two second cooldown dump kills, I'll take this.

the worst part is that, im about to have a meltdown and pop in ANY expansion and show exactly the state of those, everyone keeps crying about "retail" and "mop was goated" but i have clip from mop where second wind warrior afk my dmg for 3 minutes in duel without dying, without even going def stance, people keep forgetting all the bad and remembring only the good, ebcause what they consdier bad in modern wow is in front of them, the reality is that TWW is not gonna be that much better or worse than most wow expansions, wow is always good, not great, not terrible, but people are delusional and think WOTLK is goated, or CATA is goated, and retail is trash
cata and wotlk were good, same as mop, same as legion, same as df, same as probably tww, people just refuse to accept that they have to relearn the game to be equally as good as the time theygrinded back in the day, they think that because they were rank1 in wotlk they should have a free pass and be authomaticlaly good in retail, isntead of, you know, reading what spels do, learning the game and adapting, its the same story every expansion, "worst state of pvp" "omg dragonflight was so good man"
yes dragonflight was good, but RIGHT NOW dragonflight is shit for ppl, it will be good when its passed, and tww will be "bad"
i hate this mentality, ig et it so often in my comments its beyond boring and lame to read constantly.

@@AlunethMaster Yeah, every expansion has had it's good and bad. The main difference is just the overall TTK, which has been pretty fast in SL and DF for nonhealer fights. I didn't play MOP at all, so can't really relate to that. So far, TWW feels a bit like WoD to me where fights were longer and specs had more self sustain.

@@AlunethMaster Fire mage and the machine gun bugged warlock are kind of exceptions though. Many abilities are doing similar damage in TWW as what they do in DF. Executes for 250K. Overpowers for 180K. Demolish is a bit of an outlier as well since it can put out around 3 million damage with the full channel. That feels like it is tuned for TWW health pools, a lot of the other stuff is pretty bad relative to health pools.
Rogues seems pretty weak ATM from what I've seen. MM damage is actually manageable now. OFC, some of this could just be people not figuring out the best builds yet.

mages, rogues and warriors should get very little to no healing skills.
the fact that mages are super tanks that can cc you infinitately, heal up whenever they want while having unlimited blinks and top end damage is very poor class design

i don't like being a tank
that being said, people complaion about my dmg cc and mobility too... so... idk what to think about all this, i take what i can get.
