About the International Rooftop Knowledge Day 2022

On June 3rd 2022 we organised the International Rooftop Knowledge Day. A day for rooftop enthusiasts from different sectors and professions to come together and bring the roofscape to the next level. The Rooftop Knowledge Day is an annual event, part of the Rotterdam Rooftop Days. This year's edition we focussed on the 'rooftop feeling' or 'dakgevoel' and how we can better utilise the sensory perception of rooftop dwelling and the emotional state(s) it provokes. This 'rooftop feeling' is connected to the more 'sensitive' rooftop functions like green and public space, versus the rational and profitable rooftop functions like energy generation. Finally, we're always ready for one of the most sensitive and crucial topics of all: regulations.
