Dr. Carr, it was such a pleasure to see Prof. Alkalimat someone from my generation. Having grown up in the Detroit area in the mid/late 50's and then undergrad in the early 70's in Ann Arbor the memories flooded back. In fact, my class was the first after the BAM/SDS strike. It began for me with Malcom at Mosque #1 in Detroit. I can't begin to state what the memory of people who are now ancestors, the struggles and arguments about direction detailed in your program has renewed. Thank you ever so much.
I used to talk with Dr. John Hope Franklin every day. I was working in the Deli at wholefoods grocery, and He was a professor at Duke University at the time, teaching Black Studies. He was a child during the Tulsa Ok. race Riot and his father were a Lawyer. He loved to talk, and I liked listening. I met lots of Famous people working as a deli chef at Wholefoods in Durham, NC. The interconnectivity of people is amazing.
Black Brothers and Sisters do not sleep on this channel. Especially my black nieces and nephews. Dr Carr is a true blessing and edifies the best in me, Roland Martin is a genius for bringing the best of our race to the platform, I don't really like sending money into cyber space but I will take a chance on this channel
Dr. Carr please talk about the indigenous aboriginal people ( today known as the so called African Americans) the professor knows the real history of our people and all the identity's we have had. Please speak on it.
Talk, solution. I have heard enough issue's. What can we do, today, to build on yesterday!Give us the accomplishment, so we can strengthen, the thing's that remain and build on what else we need!
