Doctor J. What can be said, that has not already been said. To, me he is the GOAT(The Greatest Of All Time.) The best to ever handle a Basketball 🏀. Man 👨, I’m 57 years old, and I still get chills watching this man 👨 play. Grover Washington is my favorite Jazz Player ever. Dr. J is my favorite Basketball Player ever. The two together are an undefeated combination. The artistry of both worlds, transcends human comprehension or understanding. The world 🌎 was made a better place because of them both. I’ll always LOVE ❤️ AND CHERISH THEM BOTH. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💪🙏❤️❤️🏀☕️💯❤️❤️❤️. King live the KINGS
He is my favorite player of all time ,whether people consider him the goat or not ,I don't care !" It was a pleasure growing up in the beginning of his era and watching all the incredible things he was able to do !" Love this man's game even today !""
@@Robert-bb9wi DITTO!....TIMES A BILLION....DOC WAS AND IS PURE CLASS....my favourite athlete in the world of sports yesterday... And Today...poetry in motion....BEYOND the Game....
You are so right. PS: lets take a moment to review this footage. Who is the trail man? Who is coming out of nowhere, to finish? That would be, of course, #24. B.Jones. Thanks, everybody! I never felt worthy in my playing days to wear #6... ( I usually rolled with #50..) Yea, another old white center with a vertical leap of about 6 inches....Than you, Mr. Mix!!
Doc J loved his younger brother, Marvin! When he lost him, that became a turning point in his life: he said, “Now, there’s 2 of us playing!”, and he WAS 2X as good, and MORE!!! 😎
Julius was the most beautiful basketball player ever. You can argue about GOAT and all that, but he did things that transcended winning and losing. Jordan, Lebron, Kobe, Carter, Dominique, Baylor, Hawkins, and all the rest of the great stylists in the history of game never really matched the Doctor's aesthetic. He had that same thing that Bruce Lee and Hendrix had, that same overwhelming visual charisma, coated in an almost spiritual plasm...oh shit I am talking crazy now, hahahahah
My favorite basketball player of all time the great Julius Erving. The man was so smooth and great that he inspired the late great Grover Washington Jr to create a song that was just as smooth as Dr. J.
Just a small correction to your acknowledgement about the great music. That's the great studio and session bassist Anthony Jackson. Considered by many as the greats studio bassist of the 70's.
WOW 👍 🏀🏀🏀 MY EYES ARE FULL OF TEARS OF JOY THANK U FOR PUTTING THAT VIDEO AND ABSOLUTELY PERFECT SONG THAT GROVRR COMPOSED 4 D 1 & ONLY DOC J OUR ORIGINAL MJ IM 60 YEARS OLD THIS YEAR AND HE WAS MY FIRST AIR JORDAN JUST TO US THE GREAT JULIUS ERVING OTHER WISE FAMOUSLY KNOWN AS D 1 & ONLY DOC J 🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀#6 THANK YOU DOC 🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🙏🙏🙏💯💯💯👍👍👍👍🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀
Great Great Video!! My All Time favorite player 🙌🏾 As a kid anytime the Sixers were on it was must see TV to catch Doc!!! When I talk with my peers and the young heads I always tell them he was the high flying spectacular highlight person before Jordan. Dr J was Jordan before Jordan!!! I will go to my grave on that statement........ Great Video Thank You🙌🏾✊🏾🏀
That was rip from a sports illustrated vhs video from the 80's. I watched that everyday when I was a kid and dunked my way to a division 1 red shirt. Not bad for a 6' white guy. Thanks Julius
Before MJ there was Dr.J.
I'll go to my grave on that statement - Facts 💯

Class, style, artistry,. The original ‘airiness’.
Doc J loved his younger brother, Marvin! When he lost him, that became a turning point in his life: he said, “Now, there’s 2 of us playing!”, and he WAS 2X as good, and MORE!!! 😎

What can I say Julius Dr J !
My favorite basketball player of all time the great Julius Erving. The man was so smooth and great that he inspired the late great Grover Washington Jr to create a song that was just as smooth as Dr. J.
Grover Washington Jr. wrote this song, "Let It Flow" the Dr. These were 2 of my childhood. I was blessed to have met them both. ❤
Grover Washington Jr, Marcus Miller just killed it on this for the best tribute that can be made to Dr.J!!!
Just a small correction to your acknowledgement about the great music. That's the great studio and session bassist Anthony Jackson. Considered by many as the greats studio bassist of the 70's.
I have to apologize that is the great Marcus Miller. Anthony Jackson played this song with Groover Washington live. That's bass Marcus' sound.
My two favorite guys from Philly...by way of New York...Grover Washington, Jr. and Julius Erving. :)
Some of these moves are other worldly....still.
Poetry in Motion... Enough said!

That arm was crazy
"Hey, hey, Dr J! Where'd you get those moves"?
It’s only appropriate to document Dr J, by playing Grover Washington Jr.
I JUST WATCHED THIS !! This is awesome !!
That was rip from a sports illustrated vhs video from the 80's. I watched that everyday when I was a kid and dunked my way to a division 1 red shirt. Not bad for a 6' white guy. Thanks Julius
