I would dive for boards while doing blacktop jobs. Always needed them to get over curbs, with the rollers. Found lots of goodies. Doors, windows, air vent grates, all kinds of tools. Found a whole painters toolbox one time. My buddy got a whole room of carpet, and backing. Toolbox was old and well used, the rest brand new, some with stickers. If it is found in dumpster ......... it now has a new owner. JJ Plywood by the load too.

My experiences with doing the right thing have not gone well . Once as a delivery man for UPS I had collected 220.00 in new bills from a Korean man . It was the only cash I collected that day and upon returning it the next day I was told by that man that '' he would never make a mistake like that '' ! Another time I tried to return 50.00 to a bank teller and was told about the same thing .. SO .. KEEP THE CASH !
I found about £310 in change and euros when I was bin diving in London, England about 8 years ago. Crazy what people throw out or what they forget about when they throw things out. Top score!! Good stuff glad for you!!

The supposed moon rock from space is actually called a "Thunder Egg". You would have to take it someone that had the right equipment in order to have it cut in half. The first house my husband & I bought had flower beds full of quartz crystal rocks in all the beds and there was a huge thunder egg that I found in one of the flower beds as well. I didn't know what it was at first but, did a ton of research to figure it out. It could be really pretty on the inside or it could be ugly on the inside. I hope you got a pretty one.

As someone who lives paycheck to paycheck, I would keep every cent. I've seen this dozens of times; an elderly person dies, in their hurry to settle affairs of the estate, the kids or relatives throw out whole boxes of stuff without going through them properly. I've yet to find a wad of cash like that, but I have found a gold ring with multiple diamonds, tools, antiques, knives, etc.

It would be almost impossible to find the owner unless you looked thru the whole dumpster for clues which you might find in that paperwork that was in there! So you could possibly look and see if that person might have accidentally forgot about that money or didn't know about it.

Beautiful specimen.. That is a very particular type of geode that is commonly found in the midwest around this type of year. Please note the two clefs, about thumb-sized, that Shane man touches. The meteorite contains crystals that have messages from Bob's father that instruct him on becoming the superhero we all know him to be.

I also have been on the other side of the equation; I found $1,800 in cash in a bank envelope laying at the side of our dirt road. Since we lived on a Dead End road that is primarily used by the 4 homes on that road, we figured we could probably find the owner. We could have REALLY used the money to pay bills, but we also felt it belonged to one of our neighbors (most we didn't know), so we began asking our neighbors if "they lost anything of value recently". One of the neighbors said a plumber they hired had lost an envelope with substantial cash in it...when we asked further, it was the exactly $1,800. The plumber had been paid in cash for work he finished at the neighbors. As he entered his work truck, he tucked the envelope above his sun visor & left. He was headed to the bank which was only 8 miles away. His window was open, & as he made the left turn, (sharply banked to the left), the envelope slid out the window, unbeknownst to him at the time. When he arrived at the bank, the envelope was gone & he was sweating bullets because that was his week's pay. The plumber called our neighbors in a panic, telling them that he had lost the money in the 8 miles between their house & the bank. They had been trying to help him find it. So we were relieved that we had found the rightful owner. If you see the following comment, about when it is proper to turn in to police & what happens after that, you'll realize I've been on both sides of this type of situation.
