    Van Diemen's Land is such a deadly tune. This is amazing, it's definitely going on my bucket list of places to see when I can finally get over there for a visit.

    Well done, Daoirí! The cinematography, the bouzouki playing, and shining light on another great maker of fine instruments. His concept for a bouzouki is different from most and makes good sense. Again, well done all around.

    Lovely vid. Daoiri. I’m a luthier in Canada, I build guitars and a couple of mandolins. I’d love to build an octave mando or a bazouki but not much market here. Hope you come to the Edmonton Folk Festival some time. If you do I’d love to show you around town.

    Daoiri I could listen to you play the bouzouki and sing all day, great video. Also, I love to see the craftsman behind the instrument at work, I hope he's passing his God given talents on to someone else to continue making such beautiful instruments.

      Hi Lee. I'd say the best thing to do would be to give him an email. They are really lovely instruments.

      @@TheGavranatar haha, well, I wouldnt say that. I think that they would be a great buy but the reason I say to give him an email I'd that each build that Justin does would completely different for each customer. If that makes sense.

    th-cam.com/video/85tZjLYrkPg/w-d-xo.html What is this instrument at 0:47 called? Sounds like a mini bouzouki.

      @DaoiriFarrell  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's an octave Mandola. It has a 15.5 inch neck and it is a really beautiful instrument actually. Justin also makes mandolins which are just a little smaller of a neck. Thanks for asking.

    Awesome stuff Daoiri. I discovered your music on a spotify radio playlist one day and was instantly hooked. I'm starting to look at bouzoukis now. Do you play GDAE or GDAD?
