Super bodhran playing. I recognize how difficult it can be to play at slower tempos like the jig at the start. Really nice strong upstrokes too. Wonderfully tasteful tonal control that negates the need for fancy stick-work. One of my favourite bodhran players.
Thanks, this is one of my favorite dance tunes, and The Queen of Argyle is my favorite Silly Wizard tune (thanks for that as well). I think you would be good with Greasy Coat, please.
TijnB42 Dammit! Was, once again, a great week. Maybe at another point in time. We'll sadly not be staying in Ireland and won't return until next year. :3
Great tehnique. I've just registered in youtube to subcribe your channel:) I was so impressed today, that began to pick tune from video. Jig at the beginning is nice. Greetings from Saint's Petersburg!
Rickard Brinck The pickguard is there to prevent the top from being damaged by your picking. Where it needs to be placed depends on one's style of playing. For me (and most other people in the world) that's below the soundhole.
My playing style has changed somewhat over the past few years. I installed a pickguard on the upside of the Fylde a few years ago because back then I was playing really heavy, percussive-style on the bass strings, leading to scratches on the top above them. These days I'm doing more with the high strings (doing the percussive effects with a combination of left-hand and right-hand damping) so I installed another pickguard on the bottom side. The instrument in this vid is one I bought second-hand with the pickguard already installed and I haven't felt the need to change it.
Wow, this is amazing! In addition to the fantastic bouzouki playing, the bodhran player is incredible!!!

The quiet, subtle power here grows and grows into a splendid frenzy.
Wow Suzanne is awesome, she sticks like glue to the rhythm, accents and pace of the song.
This is both marvellous and awesome.... And other words (just the good ones).
When you and Suzanne get together and play you both make amazing music
Fantast ic Suzanne is the most musical bodhrain player I have ever heard and the bouzouki is peerless!
two masters in their own credit. stunningly amazing. ♡♡♥︎♥︎♡♡♡♡
I knew you could play the Bz :) But props to the very tasteful bodhran playing, too!
Brilliant, both players.
I suspect this will be stuck in my head for the rest of the day.
Great job! That tune works equally well as a jig and reel.
Magistral! Bravo et merci ! 😉👍
AWESOME JUST AWESOME, Thanks.
Great playing from you both
Beautiful rhythmic playing.
It looks very pleasant to play, nice tune !
Stunning!!!
Absolutely outstanding 👍👍👍❤
Amazing, flawless technique.
Oh man, this is incredible. Truly. Amazing job, you two.
Excellent!
Quality! First rate! ♥
On the money! Thanks so much!
sweet job
Fantastic playing guys! Well done!!

Very nice, hope to see you again in Inisheer, in two weeks

Bravo!
Good stuff!!!!
Whoa, great transition from jig to reel, and just wonderful playing overall. So, you're playing it in A minor and capoing up to C minor?
Thanks! I play it in Gm, capoing up to CM (5th fret). Gm allows me to drone the open G string.
Would playing a mandola instead of a bouzouki with a capo be the same?
Stunning. May I ask the brand of bodhran?
I think it looks like a seamus o kane
christian hedwitschak without a doubt !
2:25 they are furious
You should really release your name to the public. Why the secrecy? You have great career potential. And your percussion player is awesome.

Dude, your pickguard is on the wrong side of the soundhole.

Haha, honestly I was mostly referring to the fact that you had it the other way around on the Fylde 'zouk. How come you changed your mind?

Nope.
