For Brunson, I did expect to be an awesome player, he had a great coach in Luka, the problem is they play very similar game, so he just needed to leave Dallas to show all of his potential.. Luka said it in a podcast, at the half of the previous season.
But for OG, honestly I didn't expect that he will fit like a glove. But I'm really happy that I was feeling wrong about him. As a matter of a fact, there's not a lot of people who thougt they'll be soo good. Maybe the same thing will be with KAT 🤔🤷

KAT is more efficient in every form of scoring, better shooter, less turnover prone, better defender, better rim protector, dosent take 15 seconds to put up a shot, dosent require the ball as much, a 5 out offense is now possible. should i go on.

Randle is not even the focus of this trade for MT. They did that to (1.) split up a huge contract of a player they no longer need which helps with making deals in the future and frees up money needed to extend Reid soon, (2.) to bolster their bench mob with two starting level players, (3.) to free up minutes for Reid, and (4.) to create more spacing for ANT to attack by reducing the number of inside players.
I don’t think anyone is mentally prepared for Knicks fans next season 😅

I think Randle's playstyle fits better in MIN than it did in NY. Randle in full attack mode is exactly what you'd want from him. KAT wasn't physically aggressive enough when he wasn't hitting jumpers. He was basically a tall Shooting Guard. Randle is a hardnosed 3/4 that can also make plays for others, even when not hitting from the outside. I think his floor for this team is higher.

I think the key to this is actually DiVincenzo. The Timberwolves are plenty good at Center with Gobert and Naz, so KAT was excess goods and isn’t that much better than Randle, but for the Knicks to give up one of their better shooters as well wasn’t particularly smart. Don’t even act like Josh Hart is that guy either

Mathurin for the Pacers will be like a free agent signing if healthy this year. He didn't play at all last playoffs, drastically improving Nembhards confidence and experience. Sheppard also got valuable playoff minutes so weighing how you value Mathurins potential, the Pacers have improved as well.

I don't think the wolves got robbed. It wasn't going to work in Minnesota with Kat and gobert. Cause gobert clogs the paint and no one will trade for him. Kat doesn't perform well in the play offs and his defense is suspect. Randle is a all star player donte is a great role player and they got a first round pick. Actually I think the Knicks paid a little to much. Cause in my eyes Kat and Randle are not that much apart from each other. And wolves got Dante as well. Randle just needs to stay healthy. They both dissappear in the play offs tho

Towns has to move ...and still play center. Can't imagine he's happy about that. Gobert made Towns look decent on D. He will be exposed again. He has good wing defenders so maybe they make him alright.

That's a bad Indiana take. Indiana will take significant steps forward because almost everyone on their roster (except for Turner, Siakam, and McConnell) is young and hasn't reached their peaks yet. They didn't need to trade for anyone because they have the talent already on their roster. Their defense improved from one of the worst to average when they traded for Siakam and got rid of Buddy Hield, so saying that their defense was only 24th last year is misleading. Ben Matherin (who has the potential to be their 3rd best scorer) got injured in early April and was out for the season. He is expected to take a big step forward on the defensive side of the ball. Jarace Walker will be part of the regular rotation because of his defense he can guard the long-wing players, which has been a Pacer flaw the past few years. Also, Haliburton was not playing at full strength during the last half of the season and playoffs. And Andrew Nembhard showed what he can do in the playoffs. He is a star in the making. They are built to be a really good team during the regular season.(3rd through 6th) But unless they improve on defense, they may not get past the 2nd round.

I'm sick of the "Randle doesn't show up in the playoffs" talk... the first time he was the only All-Star caliber guy on the team and clearly wasn't used to a team planning a defense for a whole series specifically designed to target him... then the second time he was coming off an injury and exacerbated it in the game he came back in and was clearly hobbled for what little he played of that series... this year it was a freak injury that kept him out. I feel like Randle's never gotten a real shot at the playoffs healthy since that first time and I think you can give the guy a pass for it being his first playoff series
The knicks offense is going to be insane… to go along with 3 of the best wing defenders in the league with OG bridges and a Swiss Army knife in Josh hart. They also gave McBride who has made leaps and bounds over the last year coming off the bench

How is the consensus that the Knicks won this trade? The Knicks got fucking fleeced, Randle and Kat are same tier of player so not like they upgraded and they just gave up more depth. Play-in is INSANE the Knicks floor is definitely lower but the ceiling is higher which I think is the bet you want to make, regular season success doesn’t mean anything the goal is a championship

Randle is guilty of taking some sus shots. But he always plays hard. I like both fits. Randle will keep Wolves a contender. And give them flexibility moving forward. KAT was good but not great with ANT. Might as well mix it up. I think both teams make Conference Finals

Ridiculous take, if KAT even simply PLAYS he will be an upgrade over Randle, who barely played in the 2023 playoffs because of an injury and the couple games he did play, he was godawful, and didn't play at all last season.

KAT is purely a Center and never played at the 4 in his whole life before the Gobert experiment started, Giannis only played 3% of his minutes at center last season
