      @China Dave John's stroke has nothing to do with his mental illness and mental state.
      John probably has a mixture of mental illnesses which he must have had before he ever came to the Philippines, his also trying to be deceptive and will try to manipulate Paul to enable him even more to continue his Obsessive-compulsive disorder, personality disorder or Bipolar disorder, he may even have Schizophrenia but I can guarantee that this man probably has a long mental health record in the USA going back years. He may well be getting abused by his wife and his inlaws but he is enabling them to abuse him because he actually likes it(it sounds odd but that is mental illness)and the more Paul tries to keep him away from his abusers the more he will run right back to them. I can tell from Pauls's body language that he is not really comfortable with John and doesn't really trust him at all.
      I have many years experience of working with people from mental health backgrounds and social abuse history, trust me this will not work unless John has professional mental health help, he needs to be back in the USA and even if he has no money and nowhere to live he will be helped.(his making non-stop excuses to avoid treatment and manipulate people into enabling his OCD)

    60 year old man, goes to live in the Philippines. He marries a very pretty teenage girl, has 2 kids with her. He does not bring enough money to raise a family, and mismanages his finances, spending impulsively, like a big shot. He did not really build a house, he helped build a shack, which he also lived in. After he blows all of his money, he expects a poor family, living in poverty, raising his kids to feed him. He becomes both emotionally, and financially dependent on a poor family. And people blame the teen girl, for not being able to care for him? John, talks proudly about supporting his kids? Yet he is doing that with other peoples money/donations. John, be honest, you are just a free loader. At least your Pinay, is raising, and feeding your children. You can't even feed yourself. Hey John, don't expect a poor teen girl to feed you, learn to stand on your own 2 feet. Take responsibility for yourself, and stop playing the victim.
    P.S. John, there are many mature patient single Pinay's your age, who would love to have a man to care for, .... Oops, I forgot you like 'em really young!

      I'm 2 yrs late to see this but your comment is spot on. It's gross that a man pushing sixty goes after a teenager. These videos are helping Paul make money as these human interest stories attract a lot of views and the more views increases your TH-cam income.But a lot of these expats who retire to countries like the Philippines and Thailand were nearly broke or not very well off before going there The attraction is that their meeker savings go a lot further there plus there is the opportunity to have a pretty young wife half your age - but the catch is you have to look after her family as well.Her family will always come before you. Not many realize this and that has caused John's plight.

    Moving on for a better life in another country is well and good as long as you have the economic means to sustain you. These 50 to 62 year old dreamers who go there with modest amounts of cash , no well thought out long term plan , and no reliable monthly income will end up like this man. It’s difficult for a foreigner to get a job in the province that pays to keep up the standard of living you are used to. The story of John is a cautionary tale to all US foreigners to look out for. This man was vulnerable and gullible and could not see until it was too late he was played on. And why would you live in a squatter house? What happened to this man’s common sense? He needs to go back home and get himself together. You can’t rely on friends support, that is very short term. Go home before you end up homeless and disabled in the Philippines.

      Sex tourists need to understand that they can be preyed upon. If you don't ensure your own safety and well-being, why in the world would you expect strangers in a foreign country to do what you wouldn't do for your own self? These guys are buying sex with young girls He went through a string of them. He went their to prey on teenage girls but ended up getting preyed upon.

    • @SY-ok2dq
      @SY-ok2dq 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What happened to his common sense? It all went down....below. He's pushing 60, and looks it, but he can get these young women - this mother of his children was what, 19, and before that John had hooked up with another under-20 woman. How many guys who look like John and are nearly 60 and have very little saved up and are just waiting around for their social security benefits, are getting laid with ladies in their late teens, back in the U.S.A.?
      I'm sure any tourist in the Philippines can easily spot a middle-aged or senior white guy with a young woman under 25 on their arm. These men are generally not attractive, maybe balding and getting fat, and look every bit their age.

    it's heartbreaking to see an expat audder like that especially because he is in a foreign land, away from his family and friends, but I'm glad a lot of people are willing to help and are stepping up to look after him. may he continue his path to recovery and healing physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. God bless you both.

    I’m glad expats are helping him but the best solution is a long term one which is to get this guy a one way ticket to America. He needs to get back to the workforce, support himself and his kids. Handouts are a temporary fix

      Are you aware that he doesn't want to go back to the U.S.? There won't be all these young 18 or 19 yr old girls lining up to shack up with him back in the U.S.
      And he left the U.S. to GET AWAY from there.
      Also some guy on here tried to help and offered him a job in Alaska and he refused. John is what, nearly 60 without any highly sought after job skills, so that Alaska job was the best he could hope for - and pays quite well.
      But John knows he has no need to work as once he gets enough donations he'll be able to get by for the short wait until he can claim social security benefits.

      Can't he be an English tutor?

    • @SY-ok2dq
      @SY-ok2dq 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@julesfalcone They don't need English tutors in the Philippines. Lots of educated Filipinos speak English at a very fluent level and many of them teach English both in the Philippines, and online to students in other countries.
      I suppose he could try to teach online, to students abroad. But competition is extremely high now, and it's really a youth game. A guy who's 60, and without a fair amount of experience or degrees and certificates in education is just not going to be able to compete. Younger, attractive, and experienced and educated tutors are preferred.

    Hi Paul, I’m a new subscriber. You have a pure heart. God bless you for all you are doing. You remind me of how my dad was to people who needed some help. He never met a stranger. He treated everyone with love and respect and like old friends.
    I’m praying John continues to get better and keeps hitting his goals. Lots of love to you all.

    Not having the full story, a simple answer seems to be for John to drive the cattle truck himself, basically taking over that business, providing an income for the family.
    It’s good that his stroke didn’t do more long term damage. That’s a huge blessing. Props to Paul for helping him out.

    Love this story! Thank you Paul and your friends for helping John.. He looks happier now compared to the last interview.. Good to know that John has a job offer, which is awesome. My brother in the Philippines works online for an American company, he is happy and contented and he doesn’t want to come to Canada or abroad. He makes decent Philippine money. God bless you, all.

      A 60 year old goes to the Philippines for the sole purpose of bedding young women (because no girl in the USA will touch him). He impregnates a girl 40 years his senior, fathers twins, lives with the girl's family (adding more burden to the girl's mother), is a dead beat, unemployed, runs out of money...and somehow this story is heart-warming?

    Watched the previous blog with this guy. You're an angel helping him to get back to himself. That's being human . Still there are some good Samaritans along the way. And that's you sir. I know in life we find some people along the way whom we don't expect . But keep fighting and moving, you are in the right track with your good friend.

    Paul and John, I am so happy to see that John has been rescued and that Paul has organized a way back for him through his contacts. It is good to know that people are willing to lend a hand to someone in need. I hope John's twins will not forget their father and I am happy also to see that John wants to provide for them. As for John's gf/wife and her family, the best revenge for John is to live well and to release any anger. Good luck to John!

      I can't be mad at the girl. He knocked her up and didn't provide for any of them. It's a culture norm for you to take care of the whole family. They work hard but don't have any money.

    Way to go Paul, helping this fellow American. You’ve really saved him and you’re so right about how important it is to have a group of buddies who look out for each other, especially in a foreign country. We’ve all made mistakes and been foolish and John seems so much healthier now.
