since minwu came out in Japan, I have been saving gems for him, only for him, despite having to use them in unforeseen events along the way like Tidus and Sherlotta, I'm a big fan of Final Fantasy 2, it's my favorite FF title, I swore I'd go for all the characters, because I love them, and Minwu is one of the ones I adore the most in this game, and to think that it's finally coming a global makes me so excited, I don't care if I have to pity, I'll use all my gems for his kit
See this is why I started saving in like April. Made sure going into shinryu I could get Kain, Lunafreya, Tifa, Celes, Minwu and Jack. Plans changed a bit when I got Machina's burst on a free multi and decided to gem rinoa. Thankfully the pulls have been pretty kind to me so I'm still on pace to get what I want. I really like offturn damage dealers/trap characters. So Minwu is a pretty solid must.
Every time I see him in a party, I rethink my pull plans. Right now, I’m thinking tickets until I have his LD and FR, and then stuff like this makes me think I should use gems and pity his BT if I have to.
The 5 years of waiting was really worth it. I did'nt really care if they're meta or not but I find pure satisfaction in using underrated but my all time fave characters like him,Faris, Golbez, Larsa and Ace. Also, FF II deserves a remake/re-imagining

I'd love to pull for Minwu's kit as well but I only have so many BT materials and High Power Spheres. I'm more interested in getting Celes' BT afterwards and Jack Garland's kit. Though I think I'll still see what I can get with tickets.
Had to use Alexander for safer non FR phase, and Gladio's call (Decided to eat their FR) cause couldn't finish them with 1 round (Ultima 0/5 thou, this was my first Shinryu ever) Didn't noticed you had done this to "promote" Minwu for GL players; don't forget there's a rerun for him later on, in case you want to do another showcase

to trigger the follow-up attack given by Minwu S1 delays the enemy and I don't want that to happen we can use HP+ to provoke Follow up attacks which have the same effect as S1 / EX skills
@@Synkhan also quick tip if you ever use Auron or Galuf unequip all spd passives, but make sure to keep the spd passives on the person that would up the FR percent in this case minwu or you could place holy enchant on Galuf, Kain, Gladio, Auron, Cor or any off-turn damage dealer or counter damage dealer and let the enemy basically kill themselves.
defo worth it if you like counter teams. pair him with Cor as a dup, or Gladio for an over kill, and just watch the bosses murder themselves.... saying that, i will only be investing tickets to him. i have 999 ready for him, but i aint spending a single gem on him. and thats only cause i adore counter set ups.
I'm gonna skip, my BT materials are too low for me to justify wasting any gems or tickets, but if there's a free pull i'll just do that ┐(￣ヘ￣)┌ Waiting for characters like Jack, Neon, as well as Yuna's FR and a few others But man, Boss Battle A is such an epic track

He’s been my favorite since he came out in JP, I’ve had a blast using him and plan to pull and build him in GL.
minwu imo is a definite pull, he's the epitome of: "oh no i took damage! anyway................" XD

I skipped Tifa and Rinoa for Minwu. A character like him is so ahead of his time. It's an easy choice.

Jack Garland is top priority if you need DPS, he is stronger than Tifa

if I were you I would skip Celes. You need Cid Raines to finish Spiritus pandemonium, otherwise.. It will be difficult

Is there a particular reason you HP+ a lot with him instead of using skills? Like, I noticed EX was up on the last turn of the BT phase.

@@DheaAida yeah, guessed S1 was a no-go in FR time because it deletes turns. Were LD and S2 basically not used to conserve uses?
S2 & LD provide traps debuff and buffs, they don't trigger follow up attacks
I don't use EX skill at the BT phase for reduce duration of video lol

That's why you lower your whole party and Kain's spd to make the enemy take more turns.
