When the boy meets world episode was first syndicated in 1998, the ending where everything goes back to normal wasn’t included. It just ends with Salem at the BMW back lot. Of course the whole ending is now incuded in the episode on Disney plus
Actually there were two endings for Inna Gadda Sabrina in which Salem hatches a ride with some tripped out hippes to Philadelphia. It only for the crossovers only.
Dope video! I remember this! One thing that’s amazing is how innovative television was in the 90s especially the promo! It’s amazing how all four show’s productions and/or the channel came together to make sure all four episodes from all four shows aired on the same night. This is what I miss about tv before the streaming service era of modern times.
The character from teen angel was rod or Todd. God's brother or cousin. I remember watching the very first episode and he explains this very shortly after the kid dies from eating an old McDonald's cheeseburger from under the bed. It was an ok crossover. I believe the mess up they did was show the ending on Sabrina were everything goes back to 90s. They were not done with going back in time so they should have shown that ending different. But perhaps it was.
ABC's TGIF block died beginning in fall 1997, stemming from a combination of aging sitcoms like Family Matters and Step by Step moving to CBS (who started - and ended - their own family-friendly Friday night sitcom line-up in 1997-98 called "The Block Party"), the oversaturation of supernatural/magic type shows (Sabrina the Teenage Witch and new series You Wish and Teen Angel, the latter of which both lasted only one season), the failure of Two of a Kind (which was the last sitcom produced by the previously reliable Miller-Boyett group) starring the Olsen twins the following year (1998-99), and ultimately the ending of Boy Meets World after seven seasons and Sabrina... moving to The WB after the 1999-2000 season. ABC would bring back the TGIF brand for the 2003-05 & 2018-19 seasons, but it never met the same success it had before.
I was binge watching Sabrina and I got to the time ball episode and then remembered that there were crossovers in the other shows… the episode ended with things just back to normal. I really appreciate you making this to fill in the gap 😄
I just rewatched the Sabrina episode the other day. The ending is jarring now, but when the time warp event aired the Sabrina episode ended with Salem escaping out the pet door, then that story progressed through the other tgif shows and ended with Salem safe at home in the 90’s. I guess they added the time warp conclusion for syndication.
What a coincidence, in Netflix's THE CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH, Sabrina and other Witches are attracted by two angels and and she kills by chanting a spell.
ABC's TGIF (Time Goes Insane Friday) lineup for Friday November 7, 1997. 8pm - Sabrina (new episode: Inna Gadda Sabrina) 8:30pm - Boy Meets World (new episode: No Guts, No Cory) 9pm - You Wish! (new episode: Genie Without a Cause) 9:30pm - Teen Angel (new episode: One Dog Night) 10pm - 20/20 Note: You Wish was pulled from the schedule due to low ratings (series returned on May 22, 1998 to burn off the remaining episodes). Reruns from the first season of Sabrina the Teenage Witch were added to the TGIF lineup (8pm time-slot) to fill the empty slot for the remainder of the season. New episodes return to its original 9pm time-slot.
Remember when Sabrina headlined TGIF was the beginning of the end for TGIF!!! Fridays really tanked badly since ABC lost Family Matters and Step by Step it never recovered and they never had a hit sitcom on Fridays ever again
The time warp thing was such a neat idea. I love something connecting different shows in a tv block.
Right? There seems to be a few more on other channels as well. I may have to investigate :P

You just brought me back 26 years in a time warp.l I watched TGIF religiously in the 90s
Awesome! Glad to hear it :)
I taped them all the night
onto VHS
Currently on a Sabrina rewatch and hit these episodes. Now I wanna rewatch this crossover event if I can find the other two shows
Awesome! You Wish and Teen Angel were uploaded to TH-cam.

Thank you! For some reason I hadn’t remembered. I only remembered the Boy Meets World Episode. It was fun to watch even today.

Hey! I’m learning something new every day. I just assumed it was God, but I guess it was safer to make him a family member. Makes sense.
Hated You Wish & Teen Angel (this one was lesser of the 2 evils) but this time warp edition of TGIF was pretty fun back then
wow. can't believe i missed this back in 1997.
I only remembered the one episode! So it was nice to revisit.

I loved tgi fridays. My parents would order pizza and we all watch family matters or sabrina the teenage witch
Yes! My family also had pizza either on Friday or Saturday nights.
Yeah some shows went in and out of that TGIF line-up, didn't they? Like Family Matters, Full House and Step by Step, I remember watching.
I love these videos! Takes me right back to my childhood!! :)
:)
Could you do the 1992 family matters episode which Laura finds out what it would be Steve during Christmas?

Two episodes of the shows can be easily found and teen angel can be found on TH-cam but you wish is more obscure
Yeah You Wish was the one that was being a pain in the butt haha
Damn, not one, but two other shows that tried to be like Sabrina, in the same channel, back to back
Remember when Sabrina headlined TGIF was the beginning of the end for TGIF!!! Fridays really tanked badly since ABC lost Family Matters and Step by Step it never recovered and they never had a hit sitcom on Fridays ever again
Just so you know, that's actually God's cousin Rod.
Oh damn! Learning something new every day.
I got lucy enough to find the block years ago on TH-cam before it was removed
When you get towards the end of 90s the TGIF show started to suck!

JENNA LEIGH GREEN

The girl in you wish voiced Sadie Adler in red dead redemption 2.
