@@blueblur2273Actually Living Single came out a year earlier and people have been comparing the two. People have been saying Living Single is the blueprint for Friends. Living Single follows the lives of several male and female roommates and friends in 1990s in Brooklyn, NY while Friends took place in Manhattan. Even David Schwimmer admitted that Living Single was first of of its kind.
Right up there was 1973-1974 CBS Saturday Night Line up All in the Family MASH, Mary Tyler Moore, Bob Newhart, then Carol Burnett 1984-1985 Thursday NBC lineup The Cosby Show Family Ties Cheers Night Court and Hill Street Blues.
More like NBC & CBS = White Collar Adults Fox = Blue Collar Adults ABC = Family MTV = Teens BET = Urban Teens WB & UPN = Blue Collar Adult & Teens Nick = Kids CN = Kids
I watched only Seinfeld. ER scared the h out of me, but when football wasn't good, I switched to it. Friends were my favorite. I watched Living Single instead, even tho I didn't understand what was going on 😅
Simpsons is probably an american icon both here and overseas, comparable to Nike and Coca Cola. Yet it was never the biggest show on tv in terms of ratings.
season 1 aside, I can run a marathon of Seinfeld and be very happy. I do think it takes a hit without larry david though. Friends really doesn't compare in a lot of ways but its another show i can watch easily enough.
9:25 there was another show on fox that's very similar to Friends called LIVING SINGLE!
How was Living Single similar to Friends?

ER's the best, definitely highly recommend
90210 was my go to in the 90’s 😂
Please do THE WB next!
That nostalgic line-up is a golden classic!
I'll have to look that specific line-up up. Might be fun to do all the top line-ups for channels in the '90s though.
Fun fact: Quentin Tarantino directed the 24th episode from season 1 of ER
I didn't know that. Did the episode feature bare feet?
The role of Monica came down between Courtney Cox and Nancy McKeon. The network made the decision to go with Courtney.
You’re telling me that a network actually made a good decision? ;)

Before that was Cosby show in the 80s, that’s why the Simpson moved to thurs to take out the Cosby show
Yep first it was like family ties and a different world and Night Court what's on Thursdays for a while. Here's at 9 and then l a law at 10
There are too many jokes to make now about the Cosby show, must resist!
