    The area of any triangle is 1/2bh. If you only know the 3 sides of an equilateral triangle you need to drop an altitude and work with right triangle math to find the height. Once you know the height you can use the entire base and the height to find the area.

    Do you mean the last example volume of a bolt which I should have labeled nut? The area of a regular hexagon with a side of six does have an area of 93.53. I got 93.6 because of a small round off error. I used the full base of 6 not the leg of 3 the right triangle had in my calculation.

    Professor RobBob ,thank you for another incredible video/lecture on the Volume of a Prism & the Volume of a Cylinder in Geometry/Trigonometry. For all students in Mathematics, Science and Engineering these formulas will live with you forever. In the final example, 43.3 times 8 is 346.4, Professor RobBob, you have 346.7. Please correct this small error in the video.
