I’m in Australia too, can I ask what white card-stock do you use for your card bases? I have tried so many different ones but I can’t seem to find it thick enough at a decent price here is AUS.
I had trouble too and ended up doing a special bulk order through Spicers paper. It was several years ago and they had a minimum order size and a few other requirements so it may not work for everyone. I purchased Pacesetter Laser 250 GSM and had it cut to 140 x 216 which is US A2. They packaged them in 200 sheet blocks then boxes. I still haven't found a reasonably priced approach to envelopes.
