I think sending one unit alone first also helps speeding up the process. Because troops move faster in own territory, one can send a single forced-marching unit first to gain as much territory, wreak havoc, and as you say try to lure enemy forces in pursuit, before the main stack comes in their trail. A single fast unit can also try to cut your stack's retreat while the main unit advances to engage. I used that a lot in Supremacy, and that helps imho

Ik I’m a bit late but these series would’ve been a lot better if they had free will to talk with you rather than you just asking them questions. A while back before this one it was even worse you would cut them off at times like you wanted to be the man. I don’t see that here but still makes the video lose some value.

I played this game for so long my tip is to try to split the units in provinces so you can conquer more
