I love your house! You should get a ruggable rug for underneath your table! Totally stain resistant and you can take the cover off and wash it! I love ours

That living room rug is totally fine, just look for a dining room rug to tie in the blue & green, very muted. DONT GET CREME. don't do that to yourself. EVERYTHING looks great!!

Blue and green are next to each other on the color wheel so they will look good together. Consider something opposite on the color wheel to complement...

Don't they need to rest right after lunch or do they get up fairly late in the morning, so right after lunch naps are too soon for them? Your nails look great considering there is no way to be a homemaker and mother of 4 under age 4 and not use your hands all the time. The couch looks great. The table and chairs are mid-century modern and look quite good. We are going to live with this killer virus through possibly 2022 when there may be a vaccine. You are wise to continue your protocols to keep your family and others safe, since about 70% of infected children are asymptomatic, so shed virus infecting others without exhibiting any symptoms themselves. This is not going away any time soon and we can be harming others and ourselves by not following social-distancing and the hygiene protocols, like coughing and sneezing into the crooks of our elbows. We have all been way too lax for too long in offices, shops, at home and made people sick with common colds and flu and other things that we didn't have to and should not have shared. So, we are learning better habits about being in public. Some areas do not have leaders who are listening to the scientists about what to expect and how to manage it. I think it will be better for children in the long run to not have relatives pressing them to hug and kiss family friends and distant relatives and neighbors in greeting, any one of whom could be not practicing the proper healthy protocols or could be a pervert in disguise. Kids know who they want to touch or not and should be allowed any distance they prefer. So, I think our culture will be less pushy with kids about that as a result of this pandemic, wherein we do not really know if our flamboyant brother-in-law has been at the bar with coworkers every night after work cozying up at the bar for drink reorders all the time.
I think you could just get a white table runner to break up the wood in your dining area. It might get dirty but you can just wash it and I think it would be better than a rug. Just my thoughts! Nonetheless, your house is still beautiful!
