I AM THANKFUL FOR ALL YOUR VERY INFORMATIVE VIDEOS. I AM HAPPY THAT YOU EVEN TOOK THE TIME OUT ON YOUR VACATION FOR US!😊😊😊😊 I WATCH ON MY PHONE JUST FOR YOUR VIDEOS. THANKS TO YOU AND KEITH FOR SUCH A GREAT JOB!😊😊😊😊
Wow, I always learn so much from your videos! They never teach floating and pinning projects in the classes my dealership has, much less the use of simple (and affordable tools). Thank you for taking the time during your vacation to make these videos. Love watching your travels and adventures!
You are so welcome! I learned how to do all this before all the fancy gizmos were around (which are VERY helpful). Knowing how to do this the 'old fashioned way' can be such a help when needed. Thanks!
Wow! Great video and instructions. Your instructions are clear and precise and your explanation about aligning and stabilizer was fantastic. Thank you so much.
This is such a good tutorial. Thanks for being so precise with your instructions. And the tips on how to hoop you piece were so helpful. I’m glad I found your channel..
Hey Becky! If you get anywhere near Melbourne or Sebastian FL, stop in to see my friends at Quilts and Lace (Melbourne) or Sweet Time Quilting (Sebastian). Would love to talk soon 🌹Happy travels!
Hello! I hope you had a great day and got lots done. I'm still nursing a head cold and trying to rest. Thank you for sharing this video and your talent!
Thanks Becky. I always learn new tricks from you. I appreciate all the effort you put out there for us, even while on vacation. I think you can click on the button with the embroidery hoop icon to cancel out of your project instead of having to back out of each step. I don't have the 3700 but it does work on the 3600.
Becky, why not use that badging feature on the machine for the names? That’s a great feature. Makes the names POP. Just wondering if you ever use that???
Thank you! This was a great video (saving it so I can find it again and again). I’m fairly new to embroidery. I love it but struggle with alignment, hooping, and puckering. I don’t think I will anymore. Great tips! BTW, have you heard of Liquid Vinyl? You “paint” it on to the fabric and it makes it water resistant so you can just wipe it off with a sponge. Going to check out that adhesive spray too!
I have the NQ3500D and purchased the Embroidery foot with the LED pointer and it really helps with aligning of the design without having to drop your needle every time. Thanks for sharing!
Excellent video! I appreciate your videos, it was a good reminder of how to complete a project without all of the extra tools. Very clear explanation of the process.
Hi Becky. I just finished making placemats for my messy son, too. Before quilting I used an overlay product called lamifix by Inspira that allows me to wipe the placemat clean after every use. A great timesaver that gives me more time to embroider. Lol
It's a pattern from Pat Sloan's new book, Tantalizing Table Toppers. I'm having a giveaway for the book in a couple of days on my blog so be sure to subscribe so you can get in on it. :) powertoolswiththread.com
I'm sure the kids will love these. Do you ever use the paint on vinyl like products to coat the placemats? I have seen them advertised but wondered how they would effect your embroidery.
Becky, thanks so much for showing us how to do this ole school. Not all of us have all the new gadgets. Is there any chance that you could show us how to do like a birth announcement using the same methods? I know you use Embrillance but I don't have it. And I need to do a birth announcement, so I need help. Thanks Betty
I've got great news! Embrilliance has a free module called Embrilliance Express that allows you to play with BX fonts and it will allow you to save and print. So you'll need to download Embrilliance from the link below, and then get a DBJJ birth announcement and a font that has a BX in it from the DBJJ site (most all of them do). The birth announcement design page will tell you which font they used. When the software asks for a serial number, just click Cancel and it will launch and you can use it. It's easier than you think. You can do this! bit.ly/3lQ3NjH
I love this project! I would be concerned though that the kids would get it dirty easily. Is there a way to use a waterproof fabric/material? Thank you for the great video!
Recommend a Brother machine, with at least a 6x10 hoop, that takes a USB. That will allow you to do most of the fun projects out on the Internet and still expand your skills for larger projects when you are ready.
Great video! Love the t-pin tip, have to try that (and have to check to see if I still have some from my old clothing sewing days,. I used my little embroidery machine (purchased used) for the first time few weeks ago to make a sash for an event. I had to stitch out words and line them up on the base I was using similar to what you did with the placemat. I have to learn to use (and trust) the size indicators to choose the pattern height/width --- I test stitched everything out first but that is such a huge waste of thread and time! Question: After lining up the centering point, you don't also have the machine outline (in the air) the area to be stitched? I found that was just one last "test" that I used to make sure that what I was stitching out would land in the right spot. Also enjoyed your stop on Pat Sloan's book tour!
Adding a surrounding basting box is certainly an option. But if you look at the design dimensions on the screen, you can split that in half from center where the needle is to make sure it will fit. I figured all the names were less than 5" in length so as long as I had center at least 3.5" from the outer edge, it would fit. :)

THANKS TO YOU AND KEITH FOR SUCH A GREAT JOB!😊😊😊😊
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO YOU AND KEITH , THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE. PBS has a special sunday night at 8 honoring the service men and women.
Becky, Becky, you are one smart cookie! 💗
I like your NON- FANCY way of measuring and cutting. 🥰
I've been afraid to try embroidery but now I'm ready to give it a go. You also taught me how to move the needle. Love your videos.
Great idea to make placemats for kiddos.

Something different to make for my grands!

Love the placemats. Your babies will love them. Thank you for the tutorial.
Thanks Becky. I always learn so much from you. Enjoy your time in Florida.
Hope you are enjoying your working vacay!! Thanks for taking the time while on it to still give us great videos!!
Great video, Becky! You make it look easy!
Hello! I hope you had a great day and got lots done. I'm still nursing a head cold and trying to rest. Thank you for sharing this video and your talent!
Feel better soon!
Reminds me of my placing when I started embroidering. Old school always works with no tech but sure love the new technology
What a great way to find the center. Thank you for this great tip!! Plus you know you are level horizontally, too.
Becky, you are such a good teacher, thank you for what you do for us.
Love your videos always… really love your rv!

Cool! Thanks for that tip. I'll give it a try next time I'm in there. :)
This is so helpful to know if you don't have all the gadgets you still can do it. Great video
I learn something new every time I watch your videos! Thank you for always sharing!
Another great tutorial video Becky. Thank you. So cute.
Thanks Becky. Liked the simple embroidery project!❤️

That's a great idea! Thanks!
I do not believe that machine in her RV has that feature.
@@ninadukette3340 I forgot she take another machine.

Glad it was helpful!
For me I find heavy stabilizer gives good body, or “tooth” to my project. Particularly when dealing with knits. I use a topper as well on my knits.

My goodness, learned so much from this video. Just got my machine a week ago and this was SO helpful to a newbie! Thanks so much!
Glad it was helpful!
Always enjoy watching how to do things on the embroidery machine. I always learn and you make it easy. Thanks!
Thank you for the step-by-step tutorial!
Thank you so much for sharing this.
Awesome! Thank you for showing how to do all this away from home!❤️👏🏻
Becky, you are great. Can you tell me how you made the placemat?
It's a pattern from Pat Sloan's new book, Tantalizing Table Toppers. I'm having a giveaway for the book in a couple of days on my blog so be sure to subscribe so you can get in on it. :) powertoolswiththread.com
Ooo I recognize the pattern They are soo cute!!
Fantastic, Becky! Thank you so much for this detailed tutorial! I enjoyed it very much…and learned a lot!
Awesome video Becky!! I love learning these techniques as I know it will help me on future projects.
Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you for this tutorial. Great add.
Very informative. Thanks.
You are a great teacher! Have you done any tutorials making the "storm at sea" pattern? Having trouble wrapping my head around the color placements.
No, I've not tried that one yet. Great idea!
Cute!
I'm sure the kids will love these. Do you ever use the paint on vinyl like products to coat the placemats? I have seen them advertised but wondered how they would effect your embroidery.
Thank you so much for showing us how to do that, I have yet to use my embroidery machine❣️✂️🧵🪡💖❤️💕💗

What size needle did you use when you did Callie name?
do you have grid plastic for hoops?
Awesome!
I love this project! I would be concerned though that the kids would get it dirty easily. Is there a way to use a waterproof fabric/material?
Thank you for the great video!
I sprayed them with Scotch Guard. :)
You are such an awesome Teacher! What embroidery machine would you suggest as my first purchase?

Hey Becky what's the embroidery machine number that's like what you have without the sewing?
I think it's like a NQ3600...? If I understand you correctly.
What do you do immediately after driving you Class A from Phoenix to Pensacola? Turn on Becky. Lulabelle like the new Rv.
GREAT!!😄😊
I have written on my hoops how long I need to cut my stabilizer. That way I can cut several ahead of a project and know they will fit that hoop.
Great idea! Thanks!
