    I am very much curious as to why there is so less representation of the cuisines from north east part of india. There are seven states in the north east, each has their own individual cuisines, some spicy, some less spicy. Taste them and show
    it in a channel like this!

    I was really hoping that they would atleast try the food from more than one state of north eastern part of India in this vedio. While watching also I was like "Oh, there is Nagaland so the chicken dishes from its neighbouring states will also be tasted". To be honest I am really disappointed. Its high time people realise that north eastern cuisine of the country is much more than just "bhut jolokia".

      I know right, totally agree with you. They could have tried by bamboo shoot chicken curry, black sesame chicken curry native to Assam. In India itself, chicken dishes are so diversed, they could have represented them better!

    • @piyushanand376
      @piyushanand376 2 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      Yes , I totally agree with you. It's like an undiscovered territory for me as no big TH-cam channel has shed their light to it, which is equally disappointing & disheartening at the same time. But on the bright side it makes my curiosity to explore the north east more. . And I can't wait to do it on my own. But representation of the North East dish must be more and introduced to us Commoners

    • @anweshasarma8069
      @anweshasarma8069 2 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Totally agreed. No offense but I so wished to see more of North Eastern chicken dishes. Chicken with black sesame seeds, bamboo shoot curry etc from NE region are a must!

      Really bruhh! They probably tried 50 dishes of Chicken around the world even bringing not so signature dishes like enchiladas and samgyen but north east specially assamese cuisine that makes up a major flavour profile of north eastern cuisine doesn't find a mention. Seems as if dissapointed is the word particularly created up for Assamese peeps binge-ing mainstream Indian YT community.

    As a North East Indian I would like to mention here that we have India’s most hottest chilly n ginger (official GI)..and r highly biodiverse..
    FYI aromatic spices of India is well distributed within mainland India n was not commercially available until recently which inhibits reaches in our cooking as well as taste buds..
    ..
    This makes mostly new and “exotic” to south n north Indians..which is quite traditional to us n I request in most humbled manner to be more rational with the representation of proper northeastern food..😅😅

    Living in Manipur(Imphal, definitely for work) and being a Bengali, that boot jolokia is known as Umorok or Naga Mirchi here, and trust me that spice level is really really different from other chillies. Agree with Robin if you don't know cooking it is difficult to eat NE India's food.

    Honestly being a naga, i have never tasted chicken with axone 😮 that is new to me… usually here, chicken is cooked with lots of stew and vegetables, spices like Chingmai spice, ginger, garlic and pepper. Yes, we love the spiciness but It is not always about King Chili. I’m sure there aren’t many restaurants in Delhi that offers authentic naga/ sumi dish :)

    • @junaid42465
      @junaid42465 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To cater to people that want to try Akhuni and not eat pork, they invented this Akhuni Chicken dish. You’ll find it in some Naga restaurants in Guwahati also. 😂😂😂
      Once they have pork with Akhuni and overcome the smell, they won’t want to try anything else, right? 🤪
      They are many Naga restaurants run by Nagas in Delhi. But, best home style Naga food I had was at Nagaland House and there was an aunty who used to do pop up on her terrace in North Campus. But that was 18-20 yrs back. 😁 Plus, we didn’t have much options then, except Nagaland Stall in Dilli Haat, Nagaland House and my Angami Roommate’s cooking.

    23 out of 25 dishes were either from south India or from out of India. NE India comprises of 8 states and you have tasted just two. NE is not just about bhut jolokia. That’s not the only way how chicken is made in NE. There are multiple ways. Also you could have asked the restaurant to make it less spicy. Because when you remove the seeds of Bhut jolokia, it turns out to be less spicy and also you get that authentic taste of Bhut jolokia which takes the dish to a different level.
    It’s nice that people are trying to be inclusive now-a-days but inclusiveness requires more than just tasting Bhut jolokia. The way Dosa is not the ONLY dish from South, in the same way NE too has multiple types of chicken dishes.
    I expect way more than this from Ok tested!

      They did this during Biriyani episode. They tried Fish biriyani which Im sure nobody from WB eats. Just because they are showing a WB food doesnt mean they have to show fish. They left out the most popular Kolkata mutton biriyani

    • @bhaswatibaruah2931
      @bhaswatibaruah2931 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@rahulneogy100 That’s the thing! WB is not just about Fish or ‘Kemon acho’! It’ has got a lot more things to show. South has so many things to show about! In a similar way, NE too has hundreds of things to show rather just focusing on Bhut jolokia all the time!
      Presentation is so very important when you’re showing something authentic of a particular place because viewers might not have all the knowledge about a place. There are many who try to learn from TH-cam. And in this way, it would instil a complete different perspective in the minds of the people who have lesser knowledge about something, right!

    As a Naga, most of the people has the spice tolerance level more than expected but I don't have the extreme level and so does some. However almost all houses here you'll find whole Raja Mircha stored in bottles and tumblers mixed with bamboo shoot extract or just salt which we consume like pickle or use it while cooking.
    Similar to other states where every household won't have the same masala level tolerance, all Nagas doesn't have the extreme hot spice level tolerance.
