I am very much curious as to why there is so less representation of the cuisines from north east part of india. There are seven states in the north east, each has their own individual cuisines, some spicy, some less spicy. Taste them and show it in a channel like this!
I was really hoping that they would atleast try the food from more than one state of north eastern part of India in this vedio. While watching also I was like "Oh, there is Nagaland so the chicken dishes from its neighbouring states will also be tasted". To be honest I am really disappointed. Its high time people realise that north eastern cuisine of the country is much more than just "bhut jolokia".
I know right, totally agree with you. They could have tried by bamboo shoot chicken curry, black sesame chicken curry native to Assam. In India itself, chicken dishes are so diversed, they could have represented them better!
Yes , I totally agree with you. It's like an undiscovered territory for me as no big TH-cam channel has shed their light to it, which is equally disappointing & disheartening at the same time. But on the bright side it makes my curiosity to explore the north east more. . And I can't wait to do it on my own. But representation of the North East dish must be more and introduced to us Commoners
Totally agreed. No offense but I so wished to see more of North Eastern chicken dishes. Chicken with black sesame seeds, bamboo shoot curry etc from NE region are a must! The representation could have definitely been better.
@@mayurakhikhaund9886 Main problem is that In Delhi there r no such restaurent or food stall that serve some kind of North eastern food.. Not even in Delhi , everywhere same problem..
Really bruhh! They probably tried 50 dishes of Chicken around the world even bringing not so signature dishes like enchiladas and samgyen but north east specially assamese cuisine that makes up a major flavour profile of north eastern cuisine doesn't find a mention. I watched axone movie (it’s on Netflix) and the entire movie is based on its smell and how a group of friends struggle to cook it in Delhi for a friends wedding
I think it's because of the chillies too. As a Bengali, I don't mind the smell because we eat shutki maach which has very strong pungent smell. But it's the chillies that would make me think twice before trying the dish.

23 out of 25 dishes were either from south India or from out of India. NE India comprises of 8 states and you have tasted just two. NE is not just about bhut jolokia. That’s not the only way how chicken is made in NE. There are multiple ways. Also you could have asked the restaurant to make it less spicy. Because when you remove the seeds of Bhut jolokia, it turns out to be less spicy and also you get that authentic taste of Bhut jolokia which takes the dish to a different level. It’s nice that people are trying to be inclusive now-a-days but inclusiveness requires more than just tasting Bhut jolokia. The way Dosa is not the ONLY dish from South, in the same way NE too has multiple types of chicken dishes. I expect way more than this from Ok tested!
They did this during Biriyani episode. They tried Fish biriyani which Im sure nobody from WB eats. Just because they are showing a WB food doesnt mean they have to show fish. They left out the most popular Kolkata mutton biriyani

As a Naga, most of the people has the spice tolerance level more than expected but I don't have the extreme level and so does some. However almost all houses here you'll find whole Raja Mircha stored in bottles and tumblers mixed with bamboo shoot extract or just salt which we consume like pickle or use it while cooking.
