Tip of the day . Just unplug the fuel pressure regulator valve instead of all the injectors

Hi Baz, hope you’re well, I have a 1.6 16 plate diesel Astra which they have changed the timing chain twice now in a year because of a rattle noise which is still going now. It’s gotten worse overtime and now it’s still rattling even when driving but after a while it stops. I do find that it tends to do it mostly when parked tilted or downhill but it still sometimes rattled when on flat ground. Any clue on what the issue could now be because I heard the dealer has already fitted a gasket on the tensioner which I heard is usually the fix for it? Thanks

Might me oil pressure fault or oil pump if it's been done before... Intake it your on about the timing chain not belt as the 1.6 have a chain

@@bazmeredith So they’ve actually even replaced the oil pump too and each time vaxhuall gives the car back, they say it’s fine but it comes back worse each time😂😂. The amount of times the engine has probably been taken out now is unbelievable

An owner who didnt value regular oil changes or ineffective design circulating crappy exhaust gases contaminating oil🤔 So long as it keeps you in a job who cares😅

So no new stretch bolts fitted to the front subframe,or no front wheel tracking check after subframe removal
