    Pick and pack videos are my favourite! I like them just like this - I want to know what you sold, how much it sold for and how long the books have been for sale. Sprinkle in some additional information like "these sell really fast" and voila! You have my undivided attention 🙂

    I'm a new subscriber. 78 yrs old from Indiana. Sorted books for library sales for 10 yrs so LOVE your channel and your respect for the books. Please use as many actions as possible to save your back and legs so that you can do this for a long time in the future. Every strain and twist is a negative in your metric.

      It really helps me. And also each time I pick orders, I can see it so it’s just another reminder constantly about what’s selling fast or slow. It’s made me a better seller. Otherwise you can only see the date you listed it in the active listings on the desktop version. It’s not an easy visual reminder when it’s not in the SKU. Sometimes it feels like we just listed something but then when you look it’s like 9mths ago. It’s a good reminder to be buying faster moving inventory that keeps churning over.

    • @TheLadyteesha
      @TheLadyteesha 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I do this! I don’t trust eBay to not lose items and therefore SKU locations so I started using it for the upload date to see how long it took to sell, and also add in when I do price drops. I sell clothing 😄

      @@happycowgirl32 it help when I’m using the phone app as I can see the date it was listed in the SKU when I send and receive offers. I also pick the books using the phone app and SKU so I mentally take note of how long things have taken to sell which helps me when I’m sourcing as I remember more if something was a fast or slow seller.

    I'm really enjoying your return to this style of content. Because sourcing opportunities are so specific to where we live/shop I'm not as keen on anyone's sourcing videos. I'm happy to let them play so you (and other content creators) get the views but I don't tend to watch them as such. I do miss your live streams, I used to really love and participate in those.
    Edited to add: I enjoy seeing what has sold and for what price. Where people order multiple books, I really enjoy seeing the combination of authors and/or genres they purchase.

    Comment:
    1. If you have feeling buyer may return things to you due to different language - you can email to buyer, (I suggest to also text message - you can do Google Text - this way you text customer from your computer, much easier, as you just copy and paste whatever you ebay message to text too) - tell them you concern buyer may miss the fact that the book is in Dutch, etc, and if no reply by certain time next day, you will ship anyway.
    2. Whenever I list things, I usually try to insert the actual product into satchel - then record the size they go to in custom label in ebay listing - same place how you put in location of the item. Great savings if the book is heavier than the satchel size, I guess it should happen a lot for you. Unfortunately I see you ship - you didn't seem to utilize Auspost MPB satchels for your books, for example: 34:37 - those two bundle of books seems to fit 5kg satchel, and they may weighted more than 5kg, but you only pay to 5kg, but as you didn't set in MPB and not using their satchel, you pay more than 5kg. 36:15 the book in your hand may fit 500g satchel. 38:48 is 1kg satchel.
    3. I just learnt those thing you use is Auspost padded mailer? 100x 500g ones is $106 now, isn't it cheaper to just buy their 100 small MPB satchels at $15 and use bubble wraps inside? a big roll of bubble wraps is around $30. And those padded mailer even it says small - doesn't count as same as their small satchel which can be used to have the weight of the book to be over the satchel size as long as they fit. Non AusPost padded mailer (some call it bubble envelope) similar size of 230x330mm cost about 60% less if you buy from the like of EBPak.
    4. 47:57 those thing you thrown away can be good for padding in case you use mailing box.

    I enjoy watching your videos 📹! I like how you do the whole process from picking to packing the books... We print packing slips 2 copies as one is attached to the item sold because we ship from Canada 🇨🇦 to USA 🇺🇸, it's required... then we pick our items, my wife packs them and I process the packages and label them. Then every 2 days we ship our package, take them to our 3rd party shipper who brings them across the border and delivers to the usps warehouse us postal warehouse for delivery... We don’t use Canada post because it's too expensive! It costs 70% more to use. Only certain occasion we use Canada post... it's interesting how everyone has different ways of shipping out orders! Have a great week! Joe Bee 🐝 from 🇨🇦 🍁 🇨🇦 Canada!😅😊

    Ever considered vacuum sealing or shrink wrapping the entire book or group of books? After taking pictures etc.
    I do not know if this would be better or worse protection against moisture and critters? It could be worse. But I don't really know and figured you have the experience in keeping them stored properly.

    • @backfromburnout
      @backfromburnout  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think that would use a lot of plastic, the books stay clean on the shelves. It's just the bundles I need to stay together so I wrap those in the plastic wrap.

      Niching down is a benefit to the faster packing etc. It’s easier to systemise when everything is the same. It takes longer when you sell different types of items that each require the different packaging. I’m glad you can still get some tips though and hopefully they help speed up your processes.

      When I go to the post office I just wave hello to the staff and drop my bags near their staff door and go. I’m on great terms with the post office. They hold all my empty ikea bags for me until their next day or two and then when they see me they just get any of my empty bags they have and pass them across to me and then as soon as they have time they scan my parcels in. So I don’t have to wait. I just drop and run.
