As a former airline employee, I will explain to you why there are shoe shine stands in airports. In their hay day, commercial airlines mandated strict dress codes and combined this with hygiene requirements. Followed by random monthly/ sometimes weekly/ (& always when passing through headquarters) inspections of wardrobe & hygiene. One of the most common requirements with all airlines across the world, is having neat clean & polish black wing tip shoes for pilots & heels for flight attendants. Lesson for the day is complete. I love so much how he didn't explain the 1,005 word count meme joke to the audience that clearly didn't get it. Most comedians will do a joke half that smart, get a great laugh, and make a snide comment about how the audience is too dumb to get the joke they just totally got. They didn't get it, he's movin' on. Beautiful. Just keep going. That was such a great set. Start to finish.

There were a few very clever lines there that didn't get the recognition they deserved. I think it might have taken a bit longer than average for the joke to land. I know a couple took me that extra moment, but they were the best lines.
