If you are Male, shouldn't you use phom instead of chan?

You're right! In Thai, when referring to oneself, men typically use "ผม (phom)" while women use "ฉัน (chan)." Using ''phom'' is more formal and polite for males, especially in public or formal contexts. "chan" is gender-neutral but more commonly used by females in informal settings. Thanks for pointing that out!
