Building Outdoor aviary for lovebirds in Time-lapse

Building an outdoor aviary for the first time was a time-consuming setup but also it was a good learning experience. I add lovebird in that aviary and they are very happy there. one of the pairs already laid eggs in the nest box that I added there.

Where did you get the wire mesh? It’s not galvanized right? Poison for birds.

I use galvanised wire for my aviary..the birds are okay until now

i have chickens and a good size coop 8x16. i was thinking of putting birds in there also. do you think they need to be kept separate?

How did you secure the timber to the concrete blocks?

A common way would to pour the block holes full of concrete with a threaded bolt bent at the bottom sticking up. Cut flashing to fit over the blocks and bolts to keep wood from touching the block. Cut and drill wood to fit. Then add a washer and nut and tighten to anchor bolt.

No damp course in between the timber and the concrete blocks, will be rotten in about a year, probably rotten now considering this video is a year old already.

I think you have mistaken a pen with a wire top as an aviary.

it has breeding boxes, 3 open walls. it's an aviary.

​@BungerDev lol...a pen of any kind is an aviary, it technically needs none of the things you mentioned. It's just a place to store birds. I'm just helping the guy get comments for the algorithm. Appreciate your help .
