This worked perfect! Helped me open a lock I haven't used in over 10 years! If your hands are getting tired from pulling, you can also just use your finger nail to pull the number (that you're trying to figure out) to the left to see if a gap appears.

I bought a bicycle in an online auction. It had a lot of extras that I wanted, such as a first aid kit and many other items. It also had a bag of items under the seat which I had not seen upon my first inspection. Inside the bag was several more items, including a combination lock similar to the lock in your video. It came with a lot of extras, but it did not come with the combination. I tried other videos, no luck. I came across your video, and it was opened in 3 minutes. You rock! Thank you!

Last night about 9pm I returned to my bike after a downtown event. Someone had locked their lock (like the one in your video) over the top of my lock, trapping my bike, and stranding me.
I talked to a local business owner who told me it's a bike thief strategy: lock up your bike, wait till you leave, then cut your lock and steal your bike.
My friend with bolt cutters said he would come but not till midnight, so I went online, found your video, and had my bike free in about 15 minutes!

Tried a few others and your method worked .Makes sense to look first at the left hand number first for a more loose fitting and then went to the next right hand number .Mine was actually letters spelling LEAK so was quicker to get a vowel after the L .Thanks very much

I was delaying trying to open the bike lock for almost a month .,... tried some random numbers ... didnt work, i thought i would have to Brute force it.... spend an hour or two, just before trying it , i thought lets look it up....

Found a lock in a parking lot that looked brand new, while pulling it didn't have any affect I noticed that if I rotated a dial to a certain number it would then 'wiggle back and forth', put all 4 dials on the number each seemed to wiggle on and boom, open. Took 20 seconds lol.

By the way, if you are slightly mechanically inclined, once opened, you can pull the clip from the end and set the code to whatever you like. I don’t think you’re REALLY supposed to be able to change it, because the packaging doesn’t mention it and you have to pay attention to how it comes apart, but it’s easy enough. Have fun.

A good tip I figured out on my own, if you can fit your fingernail in between the number, that probably means that the gap you're talking about is there, just solved it using that method :D

For me it didnt work, maybe cuz its a slightly different lock. Still similar but not enough. I still was able to unlock it cuz my dumb ass found the code right written on the lock with a sticker. I didnt remove it after i bought the lock ages ago lmao.

Wow, this actually worked. I have been taking my electric scooter with me inside my classes for the last few months because I lost the combination. I have this exact lock, which I haven’t used in 3 years, and this worked! I honestly didn’t think it would, the gaps and play in the numbers is very slight, almost imperceptible to me. But this method worked in about 3 minutes.

A bike lock I haven't touched in maybe 8 years, was thinking of throwing out a perfect condition lock unless I could figure out the combo and maybe pass on or sell. It started at [_][_][_][1] and 5 minutes later with this method, got it unlocked with [9][6][2][_], this would've taken me hours or days to go through at least 9000 combos numerically, especially since the first digit was 9. This is awesome.
