In Greece we have to freestyle with the prohibitions sadly, and not blindly follow the regulations, as they are absurd. For example, it is illegal to spearfish deeper than 10 meters, or in the month of May while every other fishing means 100x more harmful is allowed. Conscious use (and not abuse) of the torch personally I am okay with, and is used for a small percentage of my catches. Take care and dive safe my friend
