You are one of the only people who has given a fair analysis of Iwobi. Most people are beclouded with sentiment and emotions.
People should get off Iwobi’s back. Give him a break. He gives his best, has been consistent and patriotic. He may not be Iniesta or his uncle Okocha but he is the best we have in that role today.
The problem with him, Is that he needs a partner in the midfield. In Afcon he was THE ONLY PLAYER that connected the defence to the attack. And in every team (club and int) there's always AT-LEAST 2 players that connect the attack to the defence. Cause one man can't do everything. The same way we have 2 wingers, you can't have only one. If Bashiru and Iwobi can play together, It's over for any team that tries to face NG. Playing 2 CDM, and 1 CAM, what can that 1 CAM do. That's the one problem the nigeria team has.
The criticism has been on his position in the XI. He should not be starting. Who controls that? The coach. So there you go, the criticism is really at the integrity of the coach and the NFF. Happy?
Iwobi's major drawback is that he is timid in his style of play;he lacks the ability to take on opponents but rather prefers the simple and sideways passes unlike Bashiru who can make those surging runs into the opposition area with the ball and take on opponents which is a requisite skillset for a number 10.
Some players have main character syndrome, but someone like Iwobi has sidekick syndrome, where he does not have the confidence to be the main guy. He defers to his teammates for both club & country. Very passive.

Iwobi played better than most of the other players such as Ademola Lookman, Wale Aina etc
Moses Simon was the man of the match for me
Good assist to lay it on a plate for Dele Bashiru
He isn't a centre player. Free the guy. That is not his strength. They are forcing that on him.
@@maziochendu5258 You claim we shouldn’t single out players but you singled out Lookman and Aina. Lookman played far better than Moses Simon, besides the assist he was making wayward crosses all game. Bruno Onyemechi was the man of the match for me
Equaveon prooved that he is better than all these 3rd grade European coaches. The coach found the solution it is the players that need to step up and take their chances. The more they play together the better they will get. Allow the coach do his job and stop complaining always. Thank you!!

@@EaglesTrackerNG Equaveon doesn't start coaching today. Even Mikel Obi attest to that. He has always been a fantastic coach. He should have easily won 2021 AFCON without that Iwobi's red card and with an available Osimhen and Dennis.

@EaglesTrackerNG AyoT, remember, it's that same coach that has given us 3pts from 4 games in a group that includes lesotho, Zimbabwe, Benin Rwanda and SA conceding5 goals. Eguavoen has given us 7pts from 3 games without conceding a goal. I think the mistake was bringing in Amuneke during the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. From what i saw, there was obviously a change in style of play which is was different from Eguavoen usual style. I never like peseiro style, it was never assertive and purposeful. The Nations Cup glory was just as a result of the players will to succeed and his defensive approach which is not sustainable. I can tell you with certainty that if peseiro was in charge against Libya, the match would have ended goalless, or they could have even scored us on the counter. Yes, Eguavoen has started well, and we are playing better football and creating chances. If there's any area the coach is lacking, it's to encourage him to improve on those areas. It seems some people are waiting for him to fail so that they can justify their claims. We all wish the Super Eagles well

You can tell me with certainty that Peseiro would have coached a goalless draw vs Libya. That is simply an assumption.
I hope you understand that getting to the AFCON final is greater than anything that has happened since then.

Bro,I ve always believed that our midfield is a huge problem for us .. there's something wrong with the combination of midfielders we re using.Passing and moving the Ball swiftly is a big issue for the eagles.Infact , to some extent that's why several central strikers struggle with the team. We re lacking a modern day central attacking midfielders with the ability to bring the ball out easily from the back , that are press resistant and re excellent passers of the ball.I strongly would love whoever is managing the team to look at chrisantus uche,ifeanyi Mathew and Ebenezer akinsanmiro. that's my opinion.What do u think?
Uche, Mathew & Akinsanmiro haven’t done enough to earn call ups to the Super Eagles.
We don't have real midfielder. The midfielder we have do not play midfield for their country.
Dele Bashiru deserves a run of games ahead of Iwobi. Iwobi has no fkn credit in the bank when it comes to Nigeria. NONE. Super Eagles is not a vacation to be playing video games.

We know that the coach pulled out the more defensive players for more offensive ones, and we scored two goals even if one was disallowed even when the opponent was playing 10 men behind the ball. Please, as a technical person, tell us how you would have won if you were the coach with 10 goals to nothing.
I see know reason why maduka okoye was benched yesterday. I think the coach need to explain why he did that. To me, he played safe to avoid defeat in other to secure his job. This idea can’t take us anywhere and will not develop our football. I have a lot to say later please

To me Libya is a no match to us if the coach knows what is doing. Tell me where Libya belongs in world football. Let’s wait and see the results of the second leg. If the results did not come in our favor then the coach will say it’s the pitch because I understand they are playing on synthetic pitch

@OluyimideDabi Of course, there are still minnows in football. Just that the ones we used to see as minnows are no longer minnows, others have taken their place. Countries like Cape verde, Mauritania, Namibia, Rwanda, Gambia, Libya, and Mozambique have made great strides in football development. But Sao Tome and principe, lesotho Burundi, and sychelles can still be considered minnows, but on a good day, they will still give you a run for your money.
We have no excuses for making wrong passes. We have no excuses for Boniface trying to dress the ball before shooting. Why can he take shots on the go? Whenever Osimhen is not there, we look bare upfront.

AyoT, Fisayo did too much scoring the goal. What of if he missed and they scored us, what would we have said? Chukwueze missed a goal that he should have scored with his right, was a clear chance, was that a good one.

@@john-tr8jy I understand him. It is about his job, just to satisfy some people for unbiasness. Iwobi did not do badly to me too in this match, just that we have seen most of his game and did not improve over years, just like Iheanacho too. They both showed talent at the early stage of their career. Fisayo has showed more than what Iwobi does not have, from transition in the midfield, to dribbling to better goal scoring ability and eye for goals.
