old swift is 1050 kg new swift is around 900 kg pakwheel states that new swift 1.2 cvt makes 82 hp but i think it makes a bit more around 86 hp the old swift 1.3 makes 90 hp. why the new swift is winning well it simple its alot lighter in weight and cvt transmission makes it faster in the long run because it puts cars rpm at peak power for constant hp to be generated manual transmission has the edge in acceleration but after that it may win or lose depends on the condition of the cars engine and clutch plate and the other problem is that you have to keep a manual car in the power band when shifting for optimal power shift to early and it will be slow shift too late and it will be slow.
Manual driver could have been better, old swift used to give tough time to 1.8 civics.

Bro i totally respect these runs u had but old swift could've performed leagues better and idk what model this was u were running against but try with a 2018 pr above model it had some minor tweaks in the engine and btw i have a swift rs 1.0 Turbo and a 1.3 dlx 2020 and im not kidding u I've had a run with the new local swift with my dlx and wo nazar ni arehi thi and also meri 1.3 ka 1.0 ke saath itna close match hai but 1.2 is a really powerful car, just an opinion to please sab isko opinion hi samjhein
