- When it comes to owning entry-level exotics, it's hard to leave out the Ferrari Mondial. A purebred grand tourer, the Mondial's 2+2 design turns it less desirable than the Icons of the Outrun Era for some. Today, the Mondial remains as a relatively low-cost prancing horse from the 1980s, offering utility in the use of a daily driver...traits unseen from the GTB's and 328's of the era. With some examples selling well under 100k, it's hard to find a more accessible way for lovers of 80's exotics to experience an Italian V8 with a gated manual.
Achieving his childhood dream of owning a classic Ferrari, LA combines his lifelong passion with tuner influence. Join him as he takes us behind the wheel of one of Maranello's true underdogs.

Love the Mondial, under rated cars, true Ferrari mid engine V8, gated shifter, pininfarina design and not many actually built by todays production number comparisons even versus modern Ferrari's. Mostly this gentleman seems to be a very kind humble enthusiast. A lesson in his demeanor and character for the haters out there. Different cars and tastes for all but this guys an example of how to conduct yourself regardless of what you drive or like. Bravo

I have an '86 Mondial 3.2 Cabriolet. From October through March, it sits in the garage, hibernating. But from spring until early autumn, it's my daily driver.

Being a custodian of an ‘88 Mondial 3.2 coupe, I appreciate this video. I am always on the lookout for reputable service and restoration shops. I am impressed with the team at Ferrari of Rancho Mirage. Always open to suggestions or opinions, of course.

Love this story and how down to earth this guy is. Nice video and great car! Never thought I'd want one, but I really do now. This is a 308 or 348, but with kids, the Mondial makes more sense.

The best Ferrari sports car is the all analog (baby Testarossa) Ferrari 348. The 348 is the biggest bang for the buck in Ferraris. As the predecessor to the 355, the 348 has the Formula 1 exhaust note without the costly valve and active suspension issues the 355 has. Less is more in analog sports cars. Older is easier as most can work on a 348. Its now or never for 348 buyers.
