- Took long enough, but it's finally here! Moved a Wave prior compared to what the music leak indicated, as it was originally thought to be for the last Wave.

I don't know how they did it.....but the mario kart band somehow made Vancouver velocity even BETTER than tour!!!!!
Like the tour version was already amazing....but this is another level!!

This music is good, but it's a shame that in-game you can hardly listen it due to its incredibly low volume.

That's why I always turn it up!! Sure, the sounds of the vehicles and power-ups may be kinda loud, but at least you get to vibe to this as well. :D
The game needs an SFX/volume control option like Smash Bros
there also needs to be options to remove the lightning affecting the music. I always turn off lightning for that reason.

I get what you mean. I've always personally thought the effect that lightning has on the music is funny, but yeah, sometimes you just want to vibe to your favorite themes as you drive.
As a fellow Canadian I am so happy they added Vancouver Velocity 😄

Alongside Daisy Cruiser, this is by far the biggest upgrade in a song this wave. Props to the MK8 team's musicians - they've once again managed to top perfection.

For me this isn't much of an upgrade, since it isn't really that different. The biggest changes are the bass and the synth during the synth solo, and I don't really have a preference between this and the Tour version. It was going to be a top 10 song no matter what though.

The only disapointement about this music is that they didn't put the rythm crowd clapping when you enter the stadium, but still this is a very good music !

Ever since the Booster Course Pass started, I held off on looking at gameplay and music for the Tour tracks so that I went completely blind into them for the BCP and I’ve heard only good things for Vancouver and as soon as I got the the suspended bridge on the first lap and the main part of the time started playing I got really really strong goosebumps. Absolutely can see why people loved this song I think it’d easily at least a Top 4 Tour track theme atm for me!

Vancouver and Athens are lovely. I was very critical of bcp at first especially the tour tracks but those two won me over

This and singapore speedway need to be played at a party sometime

To be honest, Nintendo didn't really have to go hard on making this banger remix.
I'm also glad that I can race on Vancouver Velocity at anytime in 8 Deluxe without waiting for this track to appear in the future Tours in Tour. I could say the same thing with Merry Mountain since it's a December Exclusive tracks in Tour (Although that track also appeared in the Cat 2021 Tour for some reason, which takes place in February).
Man, they absolutely crushed it out of the park with this one! I’ll always still appreciate the tour version for its own feels, but this is just beyond phenomenal now! It fits the lively aesthetic of the track so much better and is a true banger! Hats off, MK8 band! 😍😍😍

I had high hopes for this soundtrack, since it was already one of my most favorites out of the city tracks in Tour. And they definitely didn’t disappoint me with the remix! Amazing job Deluxe! 👏🏼

This gave a Sonic BTS Titanic Tower Act 1 vibe to me when I first heard the song.
This course is among my favorites in the new update, and I just _love_ this theme!! It's so fun to listen to whilst zooming along, especially the part at 0:28!! I associate that with the part of the course in lap one where you're maneuvering along the suspension bridge through the woods before gliding off to the next part of the course. :D

I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but this sounds like something you would hear in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. Or maybe I think that just because of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. Eh, whatever. Song's a banger regardless.
Is it just me, or does the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe remix of Vancouver Velocity seem slightly slower the original from Mario Kart Tour?
Don't get me wrong this course's soundtrack is still a brilliant one, but from MKT to MK8D, Nintendo somehow made this masterpiece even better either way!

This has to be my favorite mk8 city track remix. From the moment I booted it up and heard that oddly nostalgic, cryptic-ly eargasmic "gyeeaow!" Female 'vocal' at the start. Thats when I knew.......this was gonna be somthin' special fo' sho'! Btw, that 'vocal' is not a real womans voice. Its done with a sort of synth. But it reminds me of the space between the dreamworld and reality. Feels like something you would hear in your sleep by combining some samples of vocals with other things together while in REM. It makes for a truely weird nostalgic peice of sound. (Rest of the song doesnt disapoint tho)!

This music kinda gives me Sonic CD vibes.
This version adds almost an 80s or 90s vibe to the soundtrack that I’m not sure if I’ve entirely gotten used to yet. The synth they used for solo part has a weird almost vocal quality. I think I prefer the original, but it’s still the best soundtrack in MarioKart history. 💚

I wanted this track in purely for the remix’s potential. Keep in mind I didn’t play Tour, but heard this theme from it. The theme did not disappoint and the track is really fun, too! Best Tour track this wave.
