Love EWG! They have very useful information about the contaminants in your local water by zip code and the type of filter that you need to filter each contaminant.
Wow...I wish I knew my water was so yucky. I saw it on my dish drainer and now I'm filtering all my sinks and my shower my kids will thank me latet...no more dr trips.
I do not trust the NSF, period. For years I was suspicious and at one point I confirmed my suspicions. Example(s). For well over 15 years I have bough many and various NSF approved Fridge and Meat Thermometers and the vast majority showed a great deal of variances. The meat thermometers, being critical were the worst by far. Event the ones that can be calibrated. I figure that 90% of meat thermometers in stores are simply not accurate and likely dangerous.
