Yeah, independently asking how Hearthians survived the ghost matter event, and piecing together the knowledge from Riebeck about evolving onto land, and then experimentally verifying it himself is very impressive.
This is going to be one of the DLC playthroughs of all time probably. He's probably the only one I've seen notice the eye shielding device during the base game run.

eelis, i don't have words to describe the joy i get from watching your supercuts, thank you so much for your work on this great community of outer wilds orphans
14:13 a very peculiar detail I noticed on my playthrough is how the game "loads up" something once the statue is done scanning. You'd expect a cutescene or some animation following that, yet nothing else seems to happens and you just go on your way. Silently, the game just loaded and started everything related to the 22-minute loop!
I think that's just the game saving your progress so far, since you're officially part of the loop now. I think you can see some really weird stuff on your first loop because it can extend a long longer than 22 minutes. Like the interloper being ejected/eaten by Giant's Deep.
wow that was a great playthrough! can't wait for his Echoes one, and maybe u'd consider doing a supercut of his tunic like u did for pointcrow? Either way, have a great day Eelis!

@@SirRichard94 Oh wow, so thats why he was so unusually big. I always thougth the golden stuff is seethrough anyway so i never noticed the eye holes which were in weird places
Its even more crazy when you watch his actual playthrough and you hear him look at the ship log and drop "Don't spoil me" dude is basically just running this on memory because he doesnt like how much the ship log tells you and wants to fully figure it out himself. That's crazy crazy good intuition.
He also realized the cyclone direction without even going into the southern observatory, really impressive observation
23:16 The speed at which he flew at that white hole made me think he was gonna be the first one to escape a black hole.
I love how towards the middle he followed the idea of the Eye being bad and destroying the universe, just like the Owlks. It'll be interesting to see in the DLC supercut what he thinks of that idea.
I love this playthrough! So smart ::)
2:36:50 Well that's extremely clever. It would be another way to get to the EotU.
This is absolutely chaotic and despite being so incredibly wrong through so much of it, he somehow has the most in depth playthrough I've seen. All of the applause, with baffled expressions all around and, of course, kazoos in the background
Isnotretro has many other fantastic playthroughs, by the way. Thanks Eelis!
7:06 Out of all the times I've played this game and watched others play this game, I have never once noticed or heard anyone comment on this. Incredible.
This guy rolled a natural 20 for insight, amazing playthrough.
In Nerdcubed's semi-edited/scripted playthrough, he also noticed the moon's pull here, which is where i first heard of it.
Nerdcubed also saw the supernovae in the sky and had some crazy coincidences, it's a brilliant playthrough.
Eelis, thank you so much for doing this for us. I can not possibly put into words how thankful I am to have so many journeys through outer wilds together in one place, thank you
I’ve never seen someone notice the rock names, this is gonna be a real interesting playthrough
I'm nominating this as the best first supernova timing ever.
First person I've seen that knows how to roast a marshmallow
Ima press like for eelis hardwork to continuously compiling and allowing us to relive outer wilds again and again❤
Wow. What a treat to watch. One of the most attentive play through’s I’ve seen.
This feels like the most Feldspar playthrough I’ve seen that still has a lot of theory crafting and observation. He definitely “sequence broke” (if that’s a thing in Outer Wilds) some big moments through sheer piloting skill and willpower
The guy was so clever the whole time, Im gonna check his channel now. Thanks for this supercut.
"i feel like i'm putting the cart before the horse" Brother, if that aint the theme of this entire playthrough XD
was a hell of a good time to watch though, certainly one of the more interesting ones i've watched
Love that his reaction to someone whittling a stick is to assume they're a wizard and not that that's all there is to do in space appalachia.
Holy shit what a playthrough! Making it to the sun station on his first try like that is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen, guess the KSP experience paid off after all!
I couldn't help but to laugh out loud with the supernova discovery and the sun station landing. Hoooo boy. Brilliant. Also I love the wild walking around while spewing theories. Good stuff.
"That's a really nice touch. Guess I'm next, huh?" Amazing
Man, i love this game.
It leaves you with such a immense complex feeling.
I loved retro's playthrough so much I ended up watching through all of it twice. The way he just casually landed on the sunstation first try was so chill.
I always get jumpscared by those audio bug sounds. It's like someone [REDACTED] stands behind him with his [REDACTED] in his hand.
Bro that landing on the Sunstation was absolutely insane, not even luck he planned it too
When someone makes a comparison to KSP as soon as they start the game, you know it'll be a good playthrough!
probably the most interesting playthrough i've seen in a while, thanks as always eelis!
These videos mean an enormous amount to me and other outer wilds players. Thank you for all your hard work and much love
Okay, this was one of the wildest playthroughs I've ever watched. Checking out the oriignal and how does it have so few views!? Just wow, one of my new favourites.
Half an hour into this. Hes gotta be the smartest person ive seen play this game. His theories are are very close to what the game is trying to do
31:56 NO FUCKING WAY HE LANDED ON THE SUN STATION ON THE FIRST FUCKING TRY WHAT THE FUCK
THEN HE SAYS "that was easier than i thought" WHAT THE FUCK
1:03:20 bro somehow finding every way to not go to brittle hollow
Damn, what a journey
I'm only 45m into this supercut but so far this is a really good one. IsNotRetro is putting _a lot_ together using pure observation and logic.
Did he actually get all the way to feldspar on his First Try and without seeing the fish?!?!
You know when someone is a god at kerbal when he able to intercept the sun station and call it easy
What am I witnessing. What a pro gamer, so impressed with this run. And thank you for your hard work every new playthrough is well enjoyed!
this was a great playthrough, truly the most wild order of discoveries I've seen, lol. He was so invested in the story, and I appreciate that the most when watching playthroughs.
Thank you @Eelis for all your hard work, you've introduced me to some of my favourite content creators on the platform, I'm so glad that these amazing people get the attention they deserve.
eelis, i don't have words to describe the joy i get from watching your supercuts, thank you so much for your work on this great community of outer wilds orphans
"Why am I running away from a supernova?? Doesn't even make any sense!" I laughed so hard I cried.
oh my god he also has a tunic playthrough, we're eating tonight once in a lifetime games enjoyers!
Either way, have a great day Eelis!
do you guys also tear up every time you hear the Timber Hearth sunrise music at the beginning of these videos, or is it just me?
As always, thank you Eelis!
It was amazing, so glad he decided to record it and eelis made this supercut of it :), keep up the good work !
One of the best runs/streamers, thanks again!
P.s. Still cant believe he just one shot the sun station the manly way
