Peaceful Hiking in the Desert Mountains - Beautiful Backpacking on the Arizona Trail

Beautiful scenery, calm music, and an amazing weekend backpacking. Anna and I hike 32 miles out and back on the Arizona Trail. This entire hike is on passages 16 and 17 of the AZT, and we hiked it mid-January 2024.

Thanks for sharing I’d like to take up backpacking and have purchased equipment. How do you feel about the Cabin Loop Trail as a first time hike? I know you’ve done that trail. Thanks

Cabin Loop would be a great first time trail! Multiple options too. Could do the full 26 mile loop, or shorten it and do either the west or east half, as there is a trail that bisects the full loop (which is pretty and easy, and has good water at Aspen spring).
