IS MBS AN EX-MUSLIM ATHEIST? ALCOHOL IN SAUDI ARABIA LEGALISED

  • Join Haris Sultan in this eye-opening episode where he uncovers a startling development within the heart of Islam's birthplace, Saudi Arabia. Sultan delves into the intriguing evidence suggesting that the country's de facto leader, Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), might not only be an ex-Muslim but also an atheist.
In this video, Sultan analyses a five-year-old video featuring a Saudi man who recounts a conversation with a former CIA spy, now a US congressman. The congressman shares his personal interaction with MBS, revealing the Saudi leader's critical views on Islam. This aligns strikingly with the perspective of ex-Muslims, emphasizing the problem being with Islam itself, not just extremist factions.
Sultan discusses the impact of social media on Islam, comparing it to the transformative role of the printing press on Christianity. He highlights the slow spread of literacy and the delayed introduction of the printing press in the Muslim world, which centralized Islamic understanding in the hands of a few scholars.
Further into the video, Sultan touches upon MBS's progressive reforms in Saudi Arabia. From legalizing alcohol sales in Riyadh to allowing women to drive and introducing entertainment like cinemas and international music concerts, MBS seems to be steering the country towards a more modern, secular society. Sultan speculates on the impact of these changes, contrasting them with the traditional Islamic principles.
The video also covers the opposition MBS faces from conservative Islamic factions and his iron-fisted approach to governance. Despite the controversies surrounding his methods, Sultan points out the irony of an atheist, ex-Muslim potentially leading the birthplace of Islam.
End the video with a call to action, inviting viewers to like, share, and subscribe for more insightful content. Sultan also encourages support through Patreon or buying him a coffee, offering exclusive early access to videos and other perks.
📌 Watch the full video for a deep dive into these revelations and don't forget to check the description for additional resources and the link to the original video that sparked this discussion.

Saudi Arabia will not become democratic anytime in the near future because a. 40% of the population is made up of non-Saudis who will never be granted equal rights to prevent sectarianism and b. The bulk of Saudi nationals are very radicalized and would vote in an Islamic dictatorship similar to Hamas.
Democracy in Saudi Arabia would lead to civil war. Better to let the quasi-secular Saudi monarchy keep doing their thing

I have read the Quran and much of the hadith, and the hadith is much worse than the Quran, though the Quran is bad enough. For example 65:4 of the Quran gives permission for child marriage, but this is a big knife in the gut of Islam. This has all happened before in the Islamic world -in the mid 19th century the Khedive of Egypt (The defacto independent Ottoman viceroy of Egypt) was highly impressed by the power of western countries and western culture that he instituted a series of innovations to make Egypt more modern - this included things like building an opera house in Cairo for which the famous opera "Aida" was written and many other things. This can be paralleled with what MBS is doing - introducing western entertainments etc. Incidentally MBS is also planning an operatic production for Riyadh - in Arabic by an Arab composer featuring the renown British singer Sarah Connolly. I wonder however where all this will end - will it be like what happened to the shah of Iran or have times changed completely?

I've never agreed with the term 'Islamists' which every commentator uses. It's a weasel term which has the subliminal message "Guys, I'm not criticising Islam, so don't hurt me). I'm just pointing out that some muslims have 'extremist' interpretations of Islam, and they're the bad guys, not you." Having studied various aspects of the Islamic doctrine it seems to me that the 'Islamists' are simply living in accordance with the literal admonitions of their faith. This is important because they can quite legitimately say to fellow Muslims who do not do so that they are apostates and betrayers of the faith. With enough 'Islamists' within the population the majority of 'moderate' muslims can be browbeaten and threatened into becoming more literal in their adherence to this 7th century ideology.

Islam can still grow in spite of more people leaving than joining it. It is a matter of demographics. If each Muslim woman gives birth to 4 children and as much as 1 of them was to leave Islam, Islam would still grow (not even counting conversions to Islam).
The subjugation of Muslim women is a key feature of Islam, a strategic feature, among others, to help ensure Islam's growth and victory over everything else.

That's the only way, as well as reaching out to some uneducated people that are disgruntled, psychogically or socially lacking, etc., and might opt in to feel less miserable and helpless. Others will join other groups, not necessarily religious, such as crime organizations, martial arts clubs, step dance academies, etc. 🙄
Yeah, that's how Islam keeps growing and contributing to an ever more insane global society. It is a major contributor. In the 80s we had Disco music and marxism-leninism, today we have Islam and fascism on drugs. Things keep getting worse.

I’m agnostic but I am also a social and national conservative in the Anglo-American tradition. You don’t want to go from one extreme to another because you will get a massive reactionary effect. Many liberal values are hyper-individualistic and can be destructive to human society. Promote science and reason but also support time-tested traditions, family, law and order, community, social cohesion, workers, and Nation.

Apparently the reason alcohol was banned in Saudi Arabia in the first place was because of an incident years ago. What I've heard is some rich underage guy son of someone important got drunk in a party probably inside an embassy, got angry over something & shot dead someone there. This led to the govt banning alcohol for everyone.

Most major religions in the 21st century have more people “converting” to atheism then the other way around. However the birthrates of these religions are typically high enough to more than offset this. And often the more religious, the higher the birthrate. At the same time the birthrates in most atheist societies are very low and their populations are declining rapidly. Something to consider when thinking over very long time horizons

The bible printed with the printing press was in German, unlike the bibles of the Catholic Church.
For the first time ordinary laymen could read it without having to rely on clerics and their interpretations.
The real revolution started with the massive dissemination of scientific discoveries, and that spelled trouble to the monopoly of the Church, both Catholic and Protestant
