I don't like power retractable running boards. Having the conventional running boards always out has saved me a couple of times of scratching my sides.
About a month ago I was in Walmart parked next to the "cart corral". I had forgotten it was twisted inward. It was at night. I turned too quickly as I moved and heard a scratch. I was like oh crap.. To my happy surprise it had rubbed on my chrome running boards without a noticeable scratch whatsoever. If I had retractable running boards I would have needed a paint job on the side of my truck.
Got to give props Ford for starting this whole luxury pickup truck thing. Ford proved to the auto industry that there was a market for luxury trim trucks when they started the Eddie Bauer lineup way back in the 80's. Ford had the Eddie Bauer Bronco, Expedition, Explorer and F-150 top trims. Then came the Harley Davidson and King Ranch trims. It was so successful that GM started the Denali lineup for it's trucks and SUVs. The King Ranch was the original Cowboy Cadillac and now everyone was a made a version of it like the Ram Longhorn, Chevy High Country, Toyota 1798. Long live the King Ranch, the original Cowboy Cadillac.

Ya know, I took this for a test drive the day it came in. It was amazing the way it switched between the hybrid mode and regular. Currently driving a 2018 xlt 3.5 ecoboost. I fully regret not opening it up on 19 a little more.

The only thing I dislike about that muscular thing of beauty is that 1980s style antenna on the right side of the bonnet. That truck deserves a more elegant solution.

I bought a used 2022 F-150 King Ranch a few days ago. It's got the 2kw propower generator. The exterior color is smoked quartz metallic with the stone 2 tone. It's a pretty truck and holy crap is it fast! I traded in a well used 2009 GMC Sierra SLT.
The challenge about the speakers is two fold. 1.) the speakers you are listening through will dictate the quality that you hear, and 2.) I can not violate copyrighted music rules.
Ford sold almost 800k F series last year, around 787,000. That’s pretty good considering.. and I know they’ve been discounting the 2020 models with the current/new arrivals coming but those are still impressive figures.
He said pencil fight lol brings back the memories. A couple of my friends and I started bringing chop sticks to school. One hit with a chop stick and the pencil was broke in two

I just bought a 2021 GMC 1500 Denali Carbonpro a few weeks ago (~$13K off MSRP). I really wish it had a 12" display. I think Ford absolutely nailed their 12" display + controls (vs Dodge). The onboard generator is going to make this truck super popular with people who pull travel trailers. Image being able to plug right into the truck and have 7.2kW (for only $750 + Hybrid Engine cost) off-grid setup. No full-hookup needed. I don't know if I like the "Digital" style analog for RPM/Speed. The one thing I do disagree with you about is the tailgate. I think the GMC is way more elegant... but it's really minor overall. Who knows, in 6-12 months, I may trade the Denali in for a F150 Platinum. It's the cheapest F150 option that has the Fully Reclining seat option available.

When reviewing trucks please show the vehicle sticker on the door jam showing payload and towing info. Also, I thought the lithium ion battery was under the bed. I wished you had folded up the rear seat to see what was there.
Love the Ford design language... It might have all new body panels but it's recognizably still the same good looking Ford! I'm still not sold on the inverter & generator feature. I can see myself using it, but how will it hold up with time.

I love the interior of the new king ranch. My father had a king ranch back in 07 up until 2012 and the interior was very nice.
I like the F-150, currently own a 2018. The king ranch is my favourite interior, but I'd hate to be the mechanic that has to work under that hood.
