Full disclosure. I just watched this for the first time earlier today. Had an issue with my linkage breaking. Remembered seeing the video title. Your video was so very helpful. It took me literally 5 minutes to get that pin put. These videos are so awesome. Just so concise and to the point.
if your hammer is decently heavy it should only take a few solid wacks. make sure your using the same method to get it in or your going to flare the pin out
Personally, I have never put one back in... its always been replaced with said bolt of same size and locknut... never ever had any problems and makes it way easier for future removal.
Anyone else doing this, This is the best way, except maybe the c-clamp method, but fuck the air hammer way, it just digs into shit. The vice grips are the key and of course a BFH, also I used the Ac comp mount bolt, works great
Bro idk what im doing wrong. I can't get this fucking thing out. I jacked the car up quite high and am using a 3 lb hammer. I guess I'm going to pull the linkage with the engine.
its a lot easier to take out when you have the space and dont have to worry about smashin your fingers lol

I'm about to remove an S4C transmission from a Canadian Em1 SIR. I can't wait to try your method out, I never did it before, thanks for the tip.
I normally use a power steering line bolt. it works great
Hellyeah bro I'm just about to pull the swap out of my donor car. Last time I pulled shift linkage with the engine. LoL..
I need to to my shifter bushings. I'm for sure going to try this. Thanks
Think this could be done with a socket of similar size?
Thats the short version ?
Vern Atkins lol how complex do you want it to be? It’s one sliding pin and it really is as simple as what I said

Either the size of the bolt you’re using is wrong or your moving it. It really does come out with a couple whacks
Bitch pin 😂 legend
You didn't even show shit!
