Wow that’s really nice. I had a 69 Chevy C10 for several years as a daily driver. 3 speed automatic it was already screaming at 55mph. It had a 12 bolt and 4:11 gears though. I want to build a Ford 1965-66 F100 next time with either a 390 or a 460. Having that 5 speed or a 6 manual would be fantastic!!!
Nice Truck, Sounds sweet ! I've got a same year similar version only in a J Code F250 Ranger XLT Camper special . Just ordered the TKX for my 69 Mach 1.( Cant wait ! )
My 74 f-100 has a 4:35 rear end gear with the np435 love the compound 1st gear great for moving anything, but will agree not a highway running truck, with an all stock 360
I have a 72 c-10 that has a burned out automatic and I am looking to put either a 5 or 6 speed into and it is going be used for local driving and or highway driving with light loads in the bed at times
can you link me to some of your parts? i switched mine to a 5 speed with a t5 using the mechanical linkage and switched to a roller block as well. would like to see the offerings for manual f100 stuff. Kind Regards, Luke (TH289)
Hi Luke, give us a call at 888-609-0070 or email us at info@shiftsst.com and Jeff or Gene would be happy to tell you what we have available for the F100.
Do you offer this as a complete, all inclusive kit (firewall stiffener, clutch hydraulics, etc)? I cant find it on your site? I have this exact same year and setup. Do you offer shop services for the install? I dont live far from TN.
We do have them for sale on our website (just type in your year and model in the order form for the hydraulics), or you can call in and order one. 888-609-0070 As for shop services, you can call Precision Rod and Customs in Sevierville, TN 865-453-3582 they do great work.
freeway driving stole the fun factor in my 69 F 250 C6 auto 390c.i... ..3k rpm at 70 2,800 at 65 3:73 gear ratio , watch the gas gauge move the wrong way I would like to have the 600 in there
Hi Alfonso, the aftermarket TREMECs are a bit different than what came as OE in cars like the Mustang. We've only done our research on what it takes to install the aftermarket TREMEC 5 and 6-Speeds and where the shifter position will be. When it comes to putting in OE transmissions, we don't know what it would take to mate it up or where the shifter position will land.
Looking forward to doing this upgrade to my 1966 Dodge D100 panel truck. Came stock with hydraulic clutch and NP435 four speed. Can I reuse my hydraulic master cylinder? How about the bell housing that is on the NP435?
You won't be able to reuse the bell housing. Whether you can reuse the master cylinder or not depends on the bore and stroke. We use a Wilwood with a .750" bore and a 1.4" stroke.
Can the TKO 600 manuel 5 speed Bolt up to a 78 F-150 Ranger with a 351 Cleveland in it . Its currently a factory top load manuel 4 speed . Cleveland is out of an Cyclone .
I just refurbished my clutch equalizer/linkage/zbar in my 69 f100. Can i keep that manual linkage setup and still go TKO? Id rather avoid going hydraulic at this point.
All of them. Give us a call and we'll ask you a few more questions about your driving style and your truck and we'll give you an idea of what the 5 or 6-speed would be like in your F150. 888-609-0070

I also had to do a firewall stiffener for my zf5 swap years ago. Makes for a whole new truck having that late model 5 speed
More videos of this truck please!! It’s super nice
Damn that's clean!
Long tube headers sound good 👍
