- Snow, Snow and more Snow...winter 2017 in Lake Tahoe was a relentless stream of storms resulting from what meteorologists termed an "Atmospheric River"...The calendar says we've reached the start of spring but here's a look at this historic season which brought relief from California's drought and restored Lake Tahoe's levels to normal...During the timelapse sequence of the snow removal from my driveway, watch the sun/shadows move across the screen indicating that this huge job took 3 guys, 2 days to complete.

That is utterly amazing. We rarely get snow in southern England but if we get a couple of centimetres the trains get cancelled!
Hahaha, I was thinking exactly the same! I live in Scotland and a mere dusting of snow and everything grinds to a halt. It's happened for years! You would think it would be sorted by now LOL😂

I live in Czech republice. We used to have lot of Snow when i was Young. Every year ať least 50 cms! We built Snow forts, snowmen, Snow tunnels. 20 years passed and now this year its First winter of my live without only one cm of snow! This IS the First time in my life There was not a single day with snow since decemder to now (february) IT s inbelivable! IT only rains and We have cloudy dark ugly days with mud and Rain! IT makes me cry😭😩

I don’t think I’ve seen a constant snow day since I was 8 years old. Once like 3 years ago it snowed 3 times and we were shocked
I've never seen real snow in person....I love this
Real snow is nice if you play in it with skis it snowmobil, but it's still very cold. It's hard to shovel and move and harder to drive in unless you have a 4x4 SUV or truck. I have a truck and snow plow. Watch it on TV instead. We get 10 feet of it in central New York State. I now hate the stuff. Moving to western Texas.

I have to say, I lived up north and the few times we had snow like this I felt like I was suffocating. It’s beautiful to see but truly a misery to live in for me , so I moved far south and love the almost endless summers

I’ve never seen this much snow in my LIFE. I don’t think we’ve ever had more than 5 inches of snow and that in and of itself was a shock bc snow doesn’t stick around here
I live in Ireland. Beautiful country but we rarely grt snow. Last big snow for us that lasted ages was a few years ago but has never been anything like this. I would love to go here to experience a proper full on blizzard and deep snow
Great video. This year has started off pretty slow as far as snow in the Sierra but really hoping for some big storms to come in soon.
Geez!!!! Do you live there year round? Is that typical? Amazing. Lots of work. Stayed warm by fire I hope. Power outages? Good friends and family. That is when you appreciate the turn to spring and summer. Whew.... from Western NC.

Where do you put the snow when the houses are so close, the big snow blower would bury the houses.
I miss the freshies; it gets so quiet at night.
This is not that much snow...We use to get snowed in up to the eves of the rooftop’s second story. Yep. I remember everything. Bundle up and drink your coco. It gets really interesting when you can't open doors easily, because the weight upon the roof is too heavy. Then the market runs out of food. Yep, that happened.
Do you always get that much snow? NOne in florida just sandy beach been up there long ago loved it :)

If you'd like to use some of my footage, you have my permission...I'd appreciate a brief mention in a credit if you do it or maybe a pointer to my channel, whatever you feel like doing. I don't mind sharing some scenes...in fact, I have quite a bit of other footage that I shot during that winter and the one right after (which was almost as bad), including some dramatic clips of driving in the snow on some roads in Tahoe (both daylight and at night)...I am planning on putting together another winter video (probably call it "Snowpocalypse")...if you need anything else you can email me (rickscript@msn.com).

In an average good year this is normal. Have seen years where by March, April around fifty feet had fallen. That is the west coast including Oregon, Washington, BC, Alberta.......... Then there's Hokkaido......................

I don't know...I'm currently away from Lake Tahoe but going back in a few weeks to sign papers for my new apartment which will be my part-time residence...When I get there I expect to see a LOT of snow and probably some new video-worthy subjects

observation: I think i saw the Weather Channel crew pretending it was 50mph winds there. And people in the background were simply walking proving what fake storm actors they are. Sorry I wanted to rant.
