Pretty sure you're well aware that these iMiEVs can be kept in grand condition as there's a built in battery balancing and monitering system, it's slow at aroind 100mA but it's possible to rebalance a "tired" battery by charging from under-20%to over-80% if one were to practice this over 500 miles... Just a pity about the rare parts availability, it what makes the driver's forums for these cars second to none!
Thanks for watching and commenting! I feel so bad for this car as I think it deserves a thorough cleaning. It’s currently showing its age but with some TLC I know it will shine!
Got a Citroen C-Zero here in Europe (south of France). As we say in the forums "In order to get long ranges, don't get past the "C" from "ECO"😂. Great commuter car, appart from the power hungry ICE-based heater (the exterior hoses are not insulated !). But it's a simple vehicule to troubleshoot, not a lot of electronics, and quite japanese-reliable. Hope to keep it as long as possible.. (2016, 60Kkm, 105 km range in summer). Thanks for the video !
What a fascinating and well used little workhorse! Nissan Leafs from this era can have a new battery installed, and bigger capacity than they originally came with. Are replacement batteries still available for this?
Battery Hookup might have LEV60 replacement batteries to increase range. Ben Nelson in 300mpg TH-cam channel or website is a great reference for iMiEV. Also these cars came out early 2000s gas(petrol} variant called the iCar
I own one and frankly, this is the daily driver. Car still guestimates over 130km in summer. Winter is closer to 70 :) Only one problem I've seen so far: Parts are pretty rare... I've driven on some potholed roads and my wheels are damaged. 4 inch wide front 15 inch rims are almost impossible to find here (Eastern Canada). Anyone knows if 14 inch would fit?
The spare tire on Honda Civic came on the correct size rim and bolt pattern. I think mid 90s to mid 00s. 15”x4” and bolt pattern 4x100 I believe. They fit the front of this car perfectly. I was unable to fit a 14” rim to the front as it has some clearance issues. But 14” rim worked in the rear. Again an older Civic rim worked.
I'm looking at possibly buying one with a low SoC from someone who has no clue about there. Any tips or things to look for? Was thinking of taking my Tesla charger with a J1772 adapter to see if it will accept a charge and go from there.
This is a Japanese key car at the time yanked from that market but never sold well outside Japan. The high price, low practicality made it a poor choice vs Nissan LEAF at the time. Very short range was typical for a compliance car.
Hi Greenway Electric, I love your content! I'm interested in discussing a potential collaboration. Could you let me know the best way to reach you? Thanks!
2012 Imiev was our gateway drug to EVs. Purchased in 2016 with 5,000 m8les

I haven’t seen kits available for this car but I’m sure an innovative person could likely upgrade to something newer with higher capacity.
Thanks the tour.
Not a bad little car..
Interesting tgat the GuessOmeter still shows 58 kms on 16kWh battery
Most of the Peugeot and Citroen ones came with a 14kwh battery from 2012-2017 as far as I know.
Battery Hookup might have LEV60 replacement batteries to increase range.

60 kilometers is only 37 miles, wow you have to charge quickly!
