These two guys are great! They are among the best cooking teachers on the internet. One problem I have with recipes that use lots of oil is the cost of the oil, and the method of getting rid of the used oil can be problematic.
I just learned how easy it is to candy any nut! Thank you. This season finale episode demonstrates the progress you have made to relax in front of the camera and let your personalities shine. I love the playful interaction between father and son! Look forward to next season and bring your mom back for more cameos and even a feature! ✌
I'm not a fan of Panda Express, but back in the early 70's Andrew Cherng (the owner) opened his first restaurant called Panda Inn in Pasadena, California. Andrew was very personable and always on hand to meet and greet customers. We lived close by & were regulars for years. Eventually he became too busy starting other Panda Inns around LA and then, of course, the Panda Express chain later on. It was a pleasure knowing him over 20 years and I'm very happy he's been so successful in life. Btw, I'll be making your Walnut Chicken! 🍤
Just watched the first episode an im hooked. Saw the your segment on CBS Sunday morning yesterday and immediately purchased your book. I’m so excited! And can’t wait to start cooking. Btw, Dad is so cute!
Loved to see Mom. Good chefs like Jeffrey and Kevin can figure out recipe of other's food. My Aunt tried to recreate the elusive KFC original recipe. She came very close but to tell the truth I think she did better than original like Jeffrey did for his wife with this recipe.
What a nice family! Mom and Dad are very nice, and your Dad has a great sense of humor 😄 Wow, the Honey Walnut Shrimp looks delicious! I have heard of it, but never eaten it before.
I just received your cookbook in the mail - You both did a great job with it! And using chopsticks to dredge the shrimp thank you so much I'd never thought of that
I had this dish for the first time at Fung’s Kitchen here in Houston at my nephew’s graduation. It was so good! I can’t wait to give this recipe a try because I know it will be even better.😊
Made this tonight... didn't have to change anything. Family loved it -- you guys rocked this one. They have had many versions at local Chinese restaurants (I live in an Asian neigborhood in socal) but like this one the best.
❤ WONDERFUL! This is very first time I have ever heard of this dish (I'm 60ish)! I'm definitely going to try and make this. I love shrimp & can't wait to taste it! Thanks so much! ❤
Just made this recipe only difference was I doubled it. The Cook eats first and the first shrimp was PHENOMENAL!!! WAAAAAAAAY Better than the trash at the franchise!
I’m loving this series!!!!! I am trying to create a dish that I love, “Mu Shu Shrimp”. Do you have a recipe for this one? Would love any help…… Thanks and Happy Cooking!🥘
This is the bomb! I live in Belgium and miss honey walnut shrimp so much (it's not a menu item found on Chinese restaurant menus here and P. Express doesn't exist). When I come to the States to visit the family I'm totally planning to get your cookbook even though I know it will add 2 lbs to my luggage 😂
Sorry to hear we're at the end of the season - but looking forward to the next. In the meantime, the book is on my Christmas list! My favourite take out is "Singapore" Noodles - so tasty!
My first job ever at 15 was at Panda Inn (sit down version of panda express) I swore that was the best honey walnut shrimp EVER!! Thanks so much for sharing!!
If you don't have a thermometer, look at the shimmer of 7:26 and the bubble size+amount at 7:50 Overall if you let the oil sit & get hot at about (lucky number) 7 on your stove, it should be good. 425 is basically medium-high on most stoves.
Also another pro tip: notice that none of them are eating that plain rice 😂😂 Nobody eats completely plain rice, unless they're poor and starving. Even with this walnut recipe they aren't even going to eat 1 bowl of the plain rice between all 3 of them. Just make fried rice instead. Don't make it too good, else your parents will get diabeetuss or obeeeesity. Really though, make the fried rice excellent, but give them a portion that's "healthy".
Ah the timing, I made honey walnut shrimp last weekend! Will have to again and draw from this. Though I'm very reluctant to deep fry due to the cleanup required so I did a pan fried approach that turned it great. I also like all food less sweet than most so only use the honey. Came out delicious, I'm sure a bit less crispy than this but still great texture contrast to the sauce. Thanks for the great videos!
"Else you get your money back." 'Yes' "I mean your money." 'No!' 😂 That's still a far better guarantee than you're ever going to get in any society. 😉 I love his dad.. he's awesome and reminds me tons of my own
Pangda Express. 😂 I'd love to see your takes on: 1. Orange Chicken by Crazy Cuisine (AKA Nippon Ham) 2. Sweet & Sour Pork 3. Every dim sum dish you can think of; my mom loves the glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo (?) leaves.
Love it! Your parents are awesome! Honey Walnut Shrimp is one of my all time favorites; we used to get it at a restaurant near my husband's mother's home, but she has passed so we no longer have occasion to visit the area. I will DEFINITELY be making this at home. Thank you both!
This is at least the third recipe identified as Kevin's mom's favorite! 😂 Love the series!
It's ok. I have a lot of favorites too. 😁
thanks. I know I have a bad memory but I was wondering if I had already watched this video bc of that...
Maybe she enjoys food
This recipe was never his mom's favorite. Neither was her other boyfriend.
His mom's favorite has always been his dad - the way it should be! 😉
@@angelad.8944 can I be your favorite? Err. I can be your favorite!
Sorry bad language skills. =p
I really love this series. Seeing father and son (and occasionally mother) just enjoying food and cooking together is just such a happy time.
These two guys are great! They are among the best cooking teachers on the internet. One problem I have with recipes that use lots of oil is the cost of the oil, and the method of getting rid of the used oil can be problematic.
Season finale??? NOOOOOOO!!!!!!! You have become one of my top cooking series on the Internet! Can't wait to see what you have for us next season. 👍👍
the father and son working together is fantastic, these two are brilliant. Chinese food IS THE BEST
This is my favorite ever intro, so funny, so true, so touching and we get some Catherine too! I LOVE the Pangs.

That intro is priceless. At 0:14 Dad does a spot-on JACK BENNY impression.
I just learned how easy it is to candy any nut! Thank you. This season finale episode demonstrates the progress you have made to relax in front of the camera and let your personalities shine. I love the playful interaction between father and son!
Look forward to next season and bring your mom back for more cameos and even a feature! ✌
Father and son do a great job. It was so nice to see Mom eating her favourite Chinese dish in this episode!

Exactly 👍 😂😂
This….this is my favorite thing to watch on TH-cam right now!! I cant get enough of the father & son duo!! Keep them coming Pangs!!!
Loved to see Mom. Good chefs like Jeffrey and Kevin can figure out recipe of other's food. My Aunt tried to recreate the elusive KFC original recipe. She came very close but to tell the truth I think she did better than original like Jeffrey did for his wife with this recipe.

Walnut shrimp is my favorite when eating Chinese food. Sweet, succulent, and crunchy. It hits all the right notes. Thanks, Pang Family.
I just received your cookbook in the mail - You both did a great job with it! And using chopsticks to dredge the shrimp thank you so much I'd never thought of that
Thank you so much for sharing this super yummy Walnut shrimp!

That looks way more appetizing than Panda or other restaurants. always wanted to try this dish but most are swimming in mayo. This has balance.
I love this dish It looks so much fresher so much more flavorful❤😋
I adore this series
Nicely Done !!!!!!
Pangda Express. 😂
I'd love to see your takes on:
1. Orange Chicken by Crazy Cuisine (AKA Nippon Ham)
2. Sweet & Sour Pork
3. Every dim sum dish you can think of; my mom loves the glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo (?) leaves.
Mom’s rule! All others drool! (And when it’s this tasty, they really drool).
Wow this recipe looks too easy!! I must make it!!!!!!
such a fun video! Love it when mom appears!
