How about a one skein knitting project with fingering weight yarn? That’s most knitters’ default souvenir skein. Having a bigger yardage, the variety of projects will also increase a lot.
What a marvelous idea!! Imagine being a knitwear designer that may not be well known and to be featured on your ravelryroulette episode!!! Love it!! Keep them coming, please!
I’m so inspired by these Ravelry roulette videos, I’m planning to use this method to pick small projects to knit and put in a basket around Christmas time for people to choose as gifts! Congrats on the top 5! 🎉
Great video, as always! I love having the rib with felted mittens because it helps prevent snow from dropping into the mitten- and they knit up really big before felting down to size
Congratulations Tayler! Top 5! It’s a beautiful T! If I were thinner I’d definitely try and make it. I don’t do sweaters and tops. I have but not now. I stick to cowls, shawls, mitts, and socks. Fun episode! Thanks!😊
Thanks so much for taking all of our suggestions on the one skein or single skein patterns! Those last mittens are now my Christmas gift patterns! You're the best!
@woolneedleshands congrats on making it to 'Hot Now'! If you don’t want to reset the search after every pattern, you can try opening each one in a new tab so the search tab keeps the same pool of results 😉
Such perfect timing for the topic of this video! 👏 👏 I recently bought a bunch of different skeins of yarn by the pound from my awesome local yarn shop (Shoutout to Craft Emporium / Knitted Wit in Portland, OR! For any locals or visitors!) I needed lots of ideas to use it! I’m seeing the Moonstone Mitts in my future! 💛
First time watching “Ravelry Roulette” and love all three patterns that were featured. The cabling pattern of the “Little Legwarmers” provided nice texture and are so much more interesting than a pair of stockinette stitch legwarmers. Very practical, and warm, idea to felt mittens. I believe the picture of the mittens that appeared far too large must have been taken pre-felting. The trellis sort of design on the “Moonstone” mittens was intriguing, and I absolutely MUST make a pair adding beads as one Raveler did. The beads were a beautiful touch. I’ve knit a few beaded shawls and enjoyed the process, and appearance. The beads also gave a nice drape to the finished shawl. I dare say I am putting all three of these patterns in my knitting queue. Thank you for the inspiration, Tayler.
I may or may not have squealed a little around my breakfast sandwich when I saw a brand new Ravelry Roulette episode... Okay, I definitely squealed and clicked that icon so fast. Love this series! Congrats on having your pattern on the hot right now list!
You can open each pattern page as a new tab! That way the main search page doesn't change and you won't need to reselect the criteria. Love these roulette videos ~
Or, I was going to suggest that you do a saved search. If you share that in the link with show notes we can continue the fun at home. Congrats on the hot now! Your effervescence is delightful. I hope the school talk went well. Which of your many talents did you highlight?
Congratulations on hitting the top 5!!! Very well deserved it’s a beautiful pattern ❤️ love this segment didn’t quite manage summer knits but that’s the joy of roulette 😂
On the moonstone mitten, I believe Chantel did a hat that’s similar: she was the purple haired model. I believe it’s in 2 or 3 different weights. Diamond stitch cowl, chateau beanie and you made that? Hat. Her pattern are fab!😊
After seeing your first in these series, I started making my way through nearly every pattern. While doing this I realized that 2084 is their page limit. So I'm going category by category. Lol. I'm almost done looking through all the jackets. 😂
Definitely a fun episode!! Congrats!!! 🎉 Good to see one skein works as a search term. Also, have you swapped out your theme music?? And hope you enjoyed career day presentation!
Yep, you just got to the part where yardage is not equal to single skein. Cause it could be single skein or stash busting some odds and ends that total up to the yarn in a skein.
There is a matching hat to the Moonstone Mittens! Knitatude is the designer and the pattern is the You Made That Hat. Her name is Chantal, and she’s friends with Nicole of Woolfield Studio, and she designed the hat to go with the mittens.
The pic of the mittens that you thought looked really big was likely a pic before felting because felting shrinks things significantly. At least that is my thoughts on why they look so large
So I'm curious, is there a way to filter it down to like less than 100 projects made? Cuz that could be fun to do in like sweaters or socks. Maybe find some missed gems that way.
A tip: so that you don't have to re-do all of your search criteria, if you right click on the photo, and choose "open in New tab," it will do just that, and you can just navigate to the new tab. It will maintain your search criteria!
Let's get into it folks! One-skein knitting patterns here we come! And...The LBT y'all: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-little-black-tee
Hi ms dark it's me Judith I love your videos they are sooooooo coool
Top 5!!!! Forget about the chicken … you out ranked Ranunculus 🤣🤣
I saw that too! 🤯🤯🤯

So glad you enjoy it! Will do, for sure!
I’d love to see a Roulette for handspun yarn please. Love these episodes.
I did my small part. I bought your pattern as soon as it was available. 😊❤
Karen thank you so much. That truly means a lot to me. ❤️
Congrats on being in the top 5 hot designs! Saw it earlier and that made me smile for you :)
Thank you Helene! ❤️
I need to ramp up my Ravelry skills. I love watching you sail through and bending it to your will!
I’ve started to do this (random number) on things I’ve favorited to get me out of my knitting and crocheting rut. It works great!!!😊
Woohoo top five in Hot Right Now! 🎉
I hope your class presentation went well.
These are such fun videos!!! Congrats on your pattern making top 5!!!
I love Ravelry Roulette! I think you should do another game where you search on "Beaded" knitting and/or crochet. :)
Yup, Canadian Hudson Bay inspired. That one project looked huge I’m guessing because it was prefelted.
Congratulations Tayler! Top 5! It’s a beautiful T! If I were thinner I’d definitely try and make it. I don’t do sweaters and tops. I have but not now. I stick to cowls, shawls, mitts, and socks. Fun episode! Thanks!😊
I really love Ravelry Roulette. Good thinking!
Congratulations on your pattern making the top 5! Well deserved!👏🏻
Congratulations on being in the top five.
Love the color of the piece you are wearing.
Would love to see a ravelry round up for patterns using mini skeins!
Saw your LBT on Ravelry this morning on the Hot Right Now page!! SO excited and happy for you!!
Thank you so much Emma! ❤️❤️❤️
So fun! I’ve never beaded anything either but would love to bead a sweater!
I’ve made the Moonstone Mittens! So fun to see my pair scroll by! Thanks for another entertaining Ravelry Roulette.
Thanks so much for taking all of our suggestions on the one skein or single skein patterns! Those last mittens are now my Christmas gift patterns! You're the best!
My pleasure!! So glad this was inspiring. ❤️❤️
Yeah, you’re one of my favorites!!!! Always! Congrats on Hot Right Now!!!!
Thank you so much Andrea!
Hello from a new subscriber. I just wanted to say congratulations on your tee pattern. This video was so much fun.
Welcome! So good to have you here. And thank you! ❤️❤️
Whoohoo for Hot Right Now! Ok. Back to roulette 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you Shari!
@woolneedleshands congrats on making it to 'Hot Now'!

Congrats being on the hot right now! It was nice to test for you - hope to finish the length of the tee... eventually :P
Wow this is new to me and I was fascinated with how much use you got out of Ravelry. Very educational. ❤

As always, this is so much fun!! Thanks for doing!!
I may or may not have squealed a little around my breakfast sandwich when I saw a brand new Ravelry Roulette episode... Okay, I definitely squealed and clicked that icon so fast. Love this series!
Congrats on having your pattern on the hot right now list!
Oh I live this! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the series. ❤️❤️
love this, must check out that tee pattern now
These are so fun
For the polar paws I’m assuming that they were knit really huge because don’t items shrink up quite a bit after they’re felted?
That was my thought as well.
Yep
Yes. Felted items are made bigger before felting.
You can open each pattern page as a new tab! That way the main search page doesn't change and you won't need to reselect the criteria. Love these roulette videos ~
Yes! Of course! I don’t know why I haven’t thought of that. 🥴☺️❤️
Or, I was going to suggest that you do a saved search. If you share that in the link with show notes we can continue the fun at home.
Congrats on the hot now! Your effervescence is delightful. I hope the school talk went well. Which of your many talents did you highlight?
Ove your red sweater! What pattern and yarn did you use? Thanks!
The blogpost is indeed in German. They were basically starting by talking about how it started to snow very hard.
Congrats on Top 5! 🎉 Well deserved!
Congratulations on hitting the top 5!!! Very well deserved it’s a beautiful pattern ❤️ love this segment didn’t quite manage summer knits but that’s the joy of roulette 😂
Thank you so much Jody! ❤️
I'm really enjoying this series!! ❤
I’m glad Kay! ❤️
Oh, and congratulations on being in the top 5 hot right now with “The Little Black Tee!” 💖
Thank you so much!!
Congrats on being on the HRN list on Ravelry. Taylor!
On the moonstone mitten, I believe Chantel did a hat that’s similar: she was the purple haired model. I believe it’s in 2 or 3 different weights.

Glad you like them Kelly!

Of course you’re in the hot right now! The LBT is awesome!!❤
Thank you so much. ❤️❤️
Well that was fun. I learned a whole lot of new ways to use Ravelry.
Definitely a fun episode!! Congrats!!! 🎉
Good to see one skein works as a search term. Also, have you swapped out your theme music?? And hope you enjoyed career day presentation!
So fun and yes that was German. If you ever need anything translated (or checked) let me know
Yep, you just got to the part where yardage is not equal to single skein. Cause it could be single skein or stash busting some odds and ends that total up to the yarn in a skein.

I LOVE the red top you’re wearing! What is the pattern, please!
Thank you! It’s actually The Felix pullover that is cropped and without sleeves. ☺️
So I'm curious, is there a way to filter it down to like less than 100 projects made? Cuz that could be fun to do in like sweaters or socks. Maybe find some missed gems that way.
Yes! And I love the idea of doing one of these where we filter WAY down and see what we come up with. ❤️
If you open up the pattern in a new tab, you won't have to go back to the original page and worry about loosing your filters!
Great podcast thank you ☕️🧶😊
Teehee. LBT has been hot for a little bit! I posted a screenshot in the Patreon chat on Monday. 😁 High five!
A tip: so that you don't have to re-do all of your search criteria, if you right click on the photo, and choose "open in New tab," it will do just that, and you can just navigate to the new tab. It will maintain your search criteria!
Thank you! I actually am an avid "open in a new tab"er but for whatever reason, all that slipped my mind here. 🥴 Mom brain.
Hey, Julia Piro from ESQN knits referenced your yarn substitution video on her newsletter today!
Really?! That’s so cool!
Hey, that was really fun!
I'm so glad!
YAY for You!!! Top 5!!!
On the next single skein roulette, try filtering by one color rather than 'one skein'.
Can I just tell you how happy it makes me to see my name in the credits? 🥰
Ah Sheila that’s awesome! I’m so glad. Thank you so much for your support. 🙏❤️
Ravelry roulette‼️😂💓
I may try that search. I hate Ravelry cuz i don't know how to find anything
Staci Perry (Very Pink Knits) has a video series called “Ravelry Tips” that you might find helpful 😊
Fingering+fingering=DK. This is like 2 rav roulettes in 1!
Woohoo! Double bonus, as I like to say! 😊
i await these videos desperately
Oh I’m so glad Celia! ❤️
Hot Right Now! Let’s Go! ❤❤❤
You were correct, the language was German.
So exciting for you to be 'hot' now. Congratulations.
So many words, so little information. 😢
