Toscanini un disastro inventato dagli americani perché quasi tutti i grandi erano invece rimasti in Europa e in Germania e nella Francia occupata:Furtwaengler Mengelberg Bohm Strauss Fisher Arrau Kempff Cortot.Hanni inventato questo bluff gli americani un paese senza cultura .Una volta la regina Vittoria chiese a Wagner cosa pensasse della musica inglese .La risposta "Musica ,perché c è della musica in Inghilterra ?Finora non l ho ancora trovata "Toscanini Mac Donald Burger king Coca. cola ..Si per loro va bene .Un Beethoven Rock

Beethoven became furious when he was interpreted without Elasticity and cantabile .I am sure he would kill Toscanini for this abominius.Toscanini was a Total ignorant and superb.He Never Red Memories of Czerny Schindler He Just relied in orinted notes.That was the opposite Furtwaengler did :"I conduct what is in between the notes"

In fact, I too have never been fully convinced of this time (I prefer the execution of 1953). However, it cannot be denied that this performance is animated by a precise executive project, sustained with consistency. Speaking of timing, I remember that Munch (Boston Symphony, RCA) was also faster (and less flexible) than him.

The character of Coriolan in the play is totally manic. He captures the mood. Coriolan is one long temper tantrum

@@danieladalcortivo6919 a mio avviso le affinità elettive tra Toscanini e Charles Munch sono evidenti. Anche nel repertorio d'elezione di Munch (cfr Debussy "La Mer" Boston Symphony 1956 Munch e NBC Symphony 1950 Toscanini - lo slancio dionisiaco è il medesimo).

There was no metronom, when Beethoven wrote this. How you can know that it is so fast or so slaw?

@@louisvonriddle não é uma questão de haver, ou não, metrônomo na época de Beethoven ( aliás, existia, para tanto veja as interessantes observações de Wim Winters). Com a entrega da composição, essa se "descola" do compositor; quando falo em "fast tempo" e "dry short notes" refiro-me a uma estética mais próxima do que acredito; cada regente tem uma concepção sobre a obra e isso não é sinal de estar certo ou errado, mas de uma ideia mais próxima da sua percepção de beleza. Todos os regentes sabem TUDO, absolutamente tudo sobre música.
Os "tempi" de Celibidache, nas sinfonias de Beethoven, para mim, são perfeitos, não significando que esses devem ser paradigma para os outros. Assisti a 3a de Beethoven com Mariss Jansons e vi que seu 1o movimento é de uma beleza sem igual, mas a marcha fúnebre, tão rápida, me decepcionou.. a concepção dele, na marcha fúnebre, se afasta da minha referência para ela...entendeu?
Há um vídeo de Bloomstedt em que ele mostra a diferença de nota de ataque em Toscanini e Furtwangler...é muito esclarecedora a diferença.
Em síntese: a ideia de uns sobre uma obra se afeiçoa melhor à visão de outros, não sendo nada excludente. Enjoy!

@@louisvonriddle Usually people are used to hearing versions of things slowly and then come across e.g. Toscanini and think it's 'wrong' because they're so used to it being slow.
